  1. I was sleeved 2-6 and followed preop thru post op good plan to the T. I’ve only eaten foods that are Clean and on plan, and only when I’m hungry. Until this weekend. My sons bday party yesterday, I had tiny piece of ice cream cake(4 bites?) and a half slice of Pizza. Then went to a friends house today and had 1 small slice of pizza for dinner(i was starving). I was full and stopped. But now I’m dealing with the “OMG, here we go again” thoughts. Previously, I’m able to sustain a diet for a few months, then it falls apart. Thus far, I’ve found eating appropriately with my sleeve pretty easy. But I have this underlying fear that it won’t last!(therapy tomorrow lol) is it ok to indulge in a few bites of ice cream and a slice and half of pizza so soon?? Ugh
  2. Andover here. MGH 4/6/18. 39lbs down. Sw219 cw 180

    Post op freak out

I hear you. But after dieting for a lifetime, I’m paranoid to repeat old habits. “Diet” for a few months, start cheating a little, then bam... full on binge, no diet mode. Although I’ve come so far Beating my diet mentality, I still have moments:)
  5. I don’t use protein shakes on a regular basis. I eat quest bars a couple times a week because they’re delish!
  6. I’m sleeved 2/6/18. The first month I had to really chew well. But other than that I eat/chew normally. If I eat too fast I feel it. I have no nausea, never vomited . Protein drinks/bars can have 30g or protein . If you incorporate one into your daily regime it’s easier. I basically still like all the same foods. I don’t crave sweets anymore. I think because I have to eat every few hours so I’m never starving. (That used to be when I’d binge on sweets). I don’t have room in my tiny belly for bread, rice, starches and I don’t crave them. By the time i eat protein and veggies or fruit, I’m full. I’ve had a super smooth recovery and feel totally normal now.

    Post op freak out

I saw my therapist today. She basically said the same thing. I had to look at it as a victory since I didn’t go crazy and binge. And to plan better when eating at friends houses!

    Post op freak out

Thanks for your reply ! Luckily, after a 2 week stall, I’m down 4 pounds! I believe I’m camp B. I want to be. But my OCD brain fights me. I guess a slice of pizza and a couple bites of ice cream are ok on occasion
  9. I’m 4 weeks out from sleeve surgery. My diet is proteins and some fruit/veggies(not much) only getting 500 cals a day. My breath is STANKY. Is this ketosis breath? Or something from surgery? My kids are kind enough to tell me my breath smells like “poo”. Help
  10. I’m 5 weeks post op and eating solids. All clean proteins, fruit, veg etc. I eat until I’m comfortably full (550 cals daily approx). I drink all my liquids between meals. But I feel like after an hour I’m starting to get hungry by 2 hours, maybe 3 my stomach is starving! Can anyone recommend something that will make me stay full longer? It’s pretty inconvenient lol

    Always hungry

When I say fruit, maybe 3 strawberries or 7 grapes a few days a week. I added some slivered almonds to yogurt and that seems to help. As does eating low-fat (siggys) yogurt instead of fat free. I’m not able to eat it al but the almonds help keep me full

    Always hungry

I think so. But I feel like at hour 2 I’m getting hungry by 3 I’m famished. I was wondering if there’s something more sustainable I can eat .
  13. I’m about three weeks out and I’m lucky to be able to get five or 600 cal a day in. I am cleared for proteins and soft vegetables and fruits. I eat until I’m full but then a few hours later I’m hungry again. And I do have a snack in between meals if I need one. Is it normal to not get many calories and at this point? And do you think that could be why am so tired?

    Short and Lower 200's

It feels good! I’ve had no issues at all. Hardly any pain. My struggle at the moment is fatigue. But I’m hoping it will subside soon
  20. I’m eating only good, lean proteins, veggies, ff dairy, and maybe one protein shake a day for a lot of protein and vitamins. I have fibromyalgia which causes chronic fatigue. So I definitely I am very sensitive to feeling tired. And get kind of freaked out when I’m exhausted and don’t want to do a thing. It sounds like maybe my calories and foods are OK I just need to give myself a break and be tired for a few more weeks!
