Horrendous Halitosis

I’m 4 weeks out from sleeve surgery. My diet is proteins and some fruit/veggies(not much) only getting 500 cals a day. My breath is STANKY. Is this ketosis breath? Or something from surgery? My kids are kind enough to tell me my breath smells like “poo”. Help

High Protein creates a lot of ammonia. so your breath can end up smelling like a full litter pan. The Keytones can smell sickly sweet like maple syrup.

Ketosis breath smells a bit like a used cat pan with maple syrup on top. Bleh!

When you eat more carbs, this will go away.

Horrendous Halitosis, Foul flatulence, Fabby Flesh Absent Appetite, Nasty Nausea Sneaky Stalls and Terminal Constipation, Good thing I really WANT this surgery because all that would scare a lesser person.. But my Will is firm, my commitment strong and I'm basically stubborn as a mule. I have heard one can choose friends well you didn't choose me so I must be part of the family, a big world wide Bariatric Family. And we will all be a success!
