fastfoodaddictnomore got a reaction from em1 in Mexico: Dr. Ramos Kelly Botched Surgery - LaurasVSG Tube
She had her VSG with him and did great but ended up regaining a little and went in for a second surgery. We all see good and bad surgeries happen mostly good. It’s how they were treating her after it went bad that had her so upset.

fastfoodaddictnomore got a reaction from sunbunny83 in Surgery date 12/4 - Finally freaked
It’s hard to wait so long for something you know is the best thing for you. I’ve been planning and researching heavily since April. I’m almost done saving the money and am over ready to be done. As it’s getting closer I’m starting to panic. I know I’m ready I’m confident in the procedure I want and have picked my Dr ( just waiting for full funds to schedule) and I’m listening to others saying I should only use one Trusted Dr in MX for the DS. I’ve researched and didn’t have a good feeling about that one Dr that I do with mine and actually found some not so good reviews. I can’t find any bad reviews on the one I picked out on any of the multiple sites I’ve asked. But as it’s getting closer I start to second guess and thought about changing Dr’s. I can’t sleep at night because I’m so obsessed with finally getting this done. ~Rant over
You will do great just think of this as a life changer and how much better you will feel once it’s over. Being able to get around better and fit (not stuff yourself) in clothes.

My surgery date is pending and I’m hoping it will be December 4th. I’ve been doing the preop diet since October so I’m ready to go as soon as I get the funds to schedule and book my flight to MX. My stats are closer to cc1018. It’s getting close!!

Good evening everyone! I just has my sleeve surgery 9/18/17. I started the process in 11/2016 but my insurance required me to have 3 monthly visits with my PCP and have my weight documented at each visit. I also was required to have a psychological exam, some how I passed it ! LOL and a visit with nutritionist. I had a delay after I fell and broke my 5th MT and in the midst of all that I moved. I was having trouble with my knees also prior to surgery.
I have to say that my surgery and hospitalization went pretty good. One thing I've noticed is that I haven't had any knee pain since surgery so definitely a bonus!
If I can just make it through these food stages! I just had my 2 week post op visit and am now on pureed foods. I can't believe I was actually eagerly looking forward to eating pureed foods. I am not really hungry so have to keep reminding myself to eat an drink Protein. Biggest problem has been forgetting to sip and taking to much liquid in which cause esophageal spasm.
I've never wrote or contributed to any group forums such as this before but will be reading and possibly posting again.
I wish everyone the best as we continue our journey to better health an smaller clothes!

Have you tried the Protein Soup by progressive? I have only seen them advanced but have not found them in stores yet so I was curious.

fastfoodaddictnomore got a reaction from sheilaMc in Air Fryers----
Are these air fryers worth the cost? I buy things like this and only use maybe twice a year. Is it something that you use a lot? Those are yummy in the oven but take so long. Does the air dryer speed up the time a lot?

It's a great side by side. You are doing an amazing job without this particular tool. So glad that you got the right tools to help you achieve your goals.

fastfoodaddictnomore got a reaction from Sherry Rice in I broke down and got secondary insurance.
Mine and my husbands both exclude as well. I have wanted to find one that does. I have 49 BMI. sleep apnea and high blood pressure and cholesterol so I would be approve on a plan that offers it. I would quit my job and work somewhere that offers it with their plan but it's hard to find out till you are already hired. Is this secondary expensive? I found the Dr I want in Mexico but it would be good to have a back up incase if issues.

only a few more days. It's so hard when you don't get a direct answer and have to wait and see. Fingers crossed for you.

fastfoodaddictnomore got a reaction from Strivingforbetter in Flatulent and fretful
I've been doing pre op diet of shakes and my gas is already killing the family. It can't possibly get worse smelling than it is. I guess I'm just prepping them. Maybe I'll get my 6 year old to sleep in her own bed.
