  1. I feel nothing either. I guess we are the unlucky few who it doesn't work for.
  2. Does anyone else have this problem? It is very aggrevating. I just got off the treadmill not long ago and now my head is throbbing. Does anyone know what causes this and what can I do to prevent it?
  3. Yea, I don't understand how some have lost 80 pounds either. I asked the nurse and she said that the more you have to lose, the faster it comes off. My BMI was 41 when I started, so I expected to lose a little slow. I don't eat much either. I don't count calories, but I can't even eat a cup at a time, so I know I'm not getting that many calories in a day. I also didn't have to do a preop diet, so I didn't lose any before surgery like some others did.
  4. My doctor says I am doing great too, in fact, we all are doing great! It just seems like on the other thread for the May bandsters, some of them have lost 2 or 3 times as much as me. I got discouraged reading there, so I thought it would be nice to have our own thread.
  5. Hi, I am so glad to find people like me who don't have any children!! It is very hard to find people who don't want any, especially where I live. I am 30 and live in Tennessee. I have been banded since May. The weight is coming off a little slow, but I agree with people who say don't compare yourself with others. Good luck!
  6. Yes, this is very common. There are tons of threads on here about it. I had surgery in May and my hair started falling out in August. It is just now starting to get a little better. From what I have read it usually happens about 3 months after surgery.
  7. I like number 2. It looks best.
  8. Thanks, good luck to you too!
  9. I used to be hungry all the time too. No amount of food would satisfy me. I felt like I had no control over my life. The band has given me that control and I wouldn't go back for anything.
  10. Trust me, people are interested! LOL!!
  11. Ok, what happened to the sex educator, she's not answered any questions. LOL.
  12. I have to keep reminding myself that Thanksgiving is a time to be with family, not a time to stuff myself as it has been in the past.
  13. I had the same thing happen, I was too tight at one of my fills. I went in about 2 weeks later to get another one. The nurse said it is normal after getting an unfill to need a fill soon after because being too tight causes swelling in the stomach and that gives you some restriction, but once the swelling goes down, most people need another fill.
  14. I know what you mean, I have been feeling the same way. I just had a fill last week, so I know I won't be able to eat much.
  15. I don't think I have a g spot either. I gave up trying to find it.
  16. I say goodbye as well! If they are that way, then they never were a true friend anyway.
  17. I could never watch my husband with another woman either. I'd be wanting to kick some ASS!!!!
  18. I have never been officially diagnosed with PCOS, but I highly suspect that I have it. I have all of the symptoms except for the facial hair. I do have think hair everywhere else though. Is there a test they do to diagnose it or do they just go on symptoms?
  19. I think most people feel that way during the 6 month diet. But I agree with others about it being hard to keep off. I have lost it lots of times, but I am not able to keep it off on my own. That is why I got the band.
  20. I have insulin resistance too. It makes it very hard. I weight 254 on the day of surgery and I am 5'7. I want to get to ONEderland too!! Hopefully in a few months.
  21. We were banded the same day! I haven't been exercising much. I really need to start back. I slacked off when the weather got cold. I was walking outside, but I can't now. I need to start hitting the treadmill again.
  22. Thanks! I was too tight with my last 2 fills, and now I finally feel like it is right. I would much rather be too loose that too tight. I was miserable.
  23. I don't know if anyone has started this, but I thought it would be nice to have our own space. I get really discouraged reading about how some are losing really fast in the other thread and I thought it would be nice to start our own thread. I am losing slow, but I am still very happy to just be losing.
