  1. I agree to me she is beautiful in the BJ movies. If she feels more comfortable afterwards then more power to her, but I think she is gorgeous at BJ.
  2. Glou and Brandy I could have gotten a promotion, but I turned it down because it would have mean being in one big room at a cubicle with 9 ladies. Right now I am downstairs in a big open area and I don't talk to anyone unless it is business related and I like it that way. I am a little strange, I have strong causes that not alot of people understand, and I can't talk about husbands or kids. I am not sociable at work. I just like to work thats all. I don't want to gossip or communicate or anything like that. Unless you call being on LBT at work being sociable.
  3. I didn't say one didn't deserve one. Chill out. I thought you had to be over 100 lbs overweight to qualify for the Lap Band. Don't be so angry. I didn't attack you or anyone. I am not a Dr or God and never said noone DESERVED a Lap Band. I was stated that I though guidelines wouldn't allow you to get a Lap Band unless you were a 100 lbs overweight. So therefore I was surprised and expressed that. I am short with big hips so at size 16 I was nowhere near 100 lbs overweight. I know that people are diffrent shapes and sizes but I can only speak from my own experience. I think you have taken something I said WAY to personal. If you want someone to fight with your gonna have to look somewhere else. I am not your stress reliever, sorry. I don't care about Big or small. I care about health yes, but what I am most concerned about is socieities views on woman and how woman are taught to hate themselves. Weither big or fat skinny tall short. It sounds like you STILL have body image problems, and gossip over size encourages this. Woman are attacked everyday and no matter where I am -in person, on the internet, in whatever forum I am on I still preach this. This is a personal cause for me. I have wrote many papers on it and believe strongly in it. I am sorry if I didn't make myself clear. The last part was meant to be funny, (The 16 is ok with me) but I detest writing LOL or anything like that. You couldn't hear my tone, so I am trying to be nice now and explain myself more clearly. I still may be failing. Medically, I did would not have fit into the guidelines for a surgery at size 16, and I was surprised that other people do. I don't care how big you were, or how big you are now. That is your business. The only thing I am concerned about is why you hated yourself so much. I was saying that at LBT where so many of us have body image problems we shouldn't be encouraging this bad behavior. To me, talking about anyone else's weight problem in a negative way like this is digressive and I will speak out against it. I see your point, but you misunderstood me. In America, Austraila, Africa who cares where you are. Rude is rude. Judgement is judgement.
  4. How many calories are you eating a day. You have to make sure you are getting enough
  5. It gets better. So far I am fine. How are you doing today?
  6. Isnt lipo painful? I have no idea that is just what I heard.
  7. You know what movie I really really really love? Brigette Jone's Diary. It's the only character I love Renee Zellwanger as. The funny thing is everytime she does one of those movies she loses 50 lbs to prove she's still a waif. Plus, I heard it gave her problems in her relationship.
  8. I have the opposite problem. I have tiny boobies compared to my big ass and hips...and belly so Anything that fits at the hips falls off my shoulders. ITs painful. But I applied for a CC at avenue and got 30% off of my bathing suit so it was 58 with taxes instead of 100 bucks. That was good. Walmart for those of you who might be shaped a little more normal, has these girl style swim trunks so you can get a decent one peice for twenty and then buy these really flattering boy style shorts, but they don't go down to your knees they go down to about mid thigh. Anyway. Thats what we picked out for my friend. They go up to size 3x or 22. It looked really good on her and she has kind of an hourglass shape. I am shaped like a pear.
  9. New clothes! Yay. Well three new shirts. from 26/28 now I have three new 22/24! They look good too. My shirts were falling off my shoulders at work and showing too much cleavage. Yay! (not the cleavage the clothes)
  10. I think you will be fine BrandyII. Just keep your support group handy. This is mine, and my partner is mine, and my family. I know you can do it, and don't be scared. I think we can do this.
  11. My apt. complex has three pools, one of which is open all night. I love night swimming. I think I am just gonna have to get a tacky one and just suck it up that it might be a little ugly.
  12. I hope you can fin a OB/GYN dr that works better for you. I hate finding new Dr.'s. hate it hate it hate it
  13. I was a really confident in my skin. My legs started swelling serverely and I couldn't do anything to stop the swelling but lose weight and it wasn't working, plus I have some problems with my feet and the weight was starting to really really effect my life. Big is beautiful, but you have to be able to live a normal life.
  14. I dont really watch them I just concentrate on eating good stuff that will give my body what it needs but not what it doesn't. My Dr. actually told me not to diet.
  15. I just want to find a bathing suit that looks decent for less than 100 dollars. Jeez. I won't be able to even wear it all summer why do bathing suits gotta be so expensive.
  16. Me too plain. I guess I was thinking on a "considering" surgery which one? perspective. For me and my lifestyle it was the band hands down.
  17. Hi Hi Hi everyone. WElcome. Sorry it took me so long to get back here. We need more action in here I guess. I'm a lazy glbt thread supporter apparently.
  18. I wish I had "signs". I'm jealous. :-)
  19. ooooooooooooooooooooooh plain I'm telling. Just wait. I am composing a VERY angry Email RIGHT NOW! BrandyII- Is that off the Brady Bunch movie?
  20. Well coming from the crap highschool that I did. I made straight A's but still knew nothing. You might not feel you should have to pass out just some tips, but it might really help some of your more lost students out. Like I was in college.
  21. No, I meant size 16. sorry if I wasn't clear on that. I don't think age is a factor in WLS but I would think BMI or weight would be unless you have severe weight related problems at a lower BMI.
  22. Some people are the same no matter what section they are in. I am always about respecting my fellow woman and men in support, discussion, R&R or wherever I am. I think people should show some class. (Not that anyone has been trashy here, but I couldn't get my lbt fix this morning so I went to obesityhelp- talk about some namecalling non-supportive people) And SOMEONE might be content being the size they are. You can't really make that statement truthfully. I can honestly say that I am not happy being Obese, and you can truthfully say you were not happy being obese and that YOU were in denial. And whether someone is happy being larger isn't really the issue of being accepted, IT's about being treated like a person and being accepted even THOUGH one is bigger, larger, etc. Not to mention how personal of a choice it is to get the Lapband, or any other WLS, I am not important enough to tell someone they should get a surgery because It might not be right for them. Only the individual knows if they "need" any sort What if someone told a real chocoholic they needed RNY? Can you imagine constantly being sick because you couldn't stop yourself from eating chocolate. What a miserable existance. Or someone who was never ready for the lapband getting it anyway and hurting themselves because they throw up everymeal but cannot give up their overreating. How many people have had to have revision surgery because they were not ready the first time. (Thats not the only reason for revision surgery, but def. one of them) This whole speech is not directed at you. Just the one paragraph. Sorry about the length.
  23. I was so panicked I think I went into shock and just let everything go. Totally normal. You'll be fine. After surgery you will be like "what was I worried about?" Good luck and best wishes Darling!:rolleyes2:
