Posting to say I'm back at work today. While I was off, I'd gotten my sleep pattern really out of whack so I was still wide awake at 2am this morning (even with the time change helping me). So I'm tired and weirdly sore at the port site from driving in! A friend's bday is today. I'm on liquids and they wanna go to a Mexican restaurant. ARG!!!

For the 7000th time, we are electing a President, not a Dictator. You have this notion that he's going to be standing on the streets throwing currency. During a debate, McCain said he wanted to take a hatchet to the federal budget and Obama said he wanted to take a scalpel. But yes, I would much rather we were spending money on Americans than to fight some ridiculous war in Iraq and spending money on Iraqis. The Republicans want to spend every dollar of tax revenue PLUS every Chinese yuan on defense. Screw the people! When we first went to war, I had to explain to numerous people why we were in Iraq. 9/11...Bin Laden...Afghanistan...BIG GRAY AREA...Iraqi War Am I glad that Sodamn Insane is dead? Sure. Well Presidents have wanted plenty of things in the past that haven't happened. As we saw with the bailout, the Republicans completely abandoned their political party leader and the Fed Chairman and Treasury Secretary that their leader appointed. I still want someone to splain to me what Chris Cox has been doing during all this mess. With regard to the national debt, Dubya had a republican congress for 6 years. STOP SPENDING MONEY!

I definitely take each issue and look at them separately. For example, the liberal side of me would like for all (legal) Americans to have some kind of health insurance but the businesswoman in me wonders how we could handle the management and possible fraud. It's Halloweenie! Since I'm still on liquids, I bought no candy for trick or treaters. I had one come up though my light wasn't on. Ignored. Then I had some middle schooler come up at 10:50pm. WTH! So anyway, I have one week left on liquids and it's REALLY getting old!!! I know my stomach is healing and all that but still - I wanna chew my damn shoe. It's funny b/c I'm craving a scrambled egg and I don't even eat eggs that often. Lulu told me that she has, for the most part, lost the desire for snacking. Please God, let that happen to me!!! Oh and I weighed yesterday and am down 16.5 pounds. :mad2:
