Two yummy, healthy chicken recipes!
I did something similar to #2 on the short puree diet. Unfortunately it had the lovely appearance of moist cat food and it really turned me off mentally. #1 looks great, I'll have to give it a shot.

Dressing
I was allowed lemon juice or vinegar. I was also encouraged to have a spoonful of Greek yogurt daily. I mixed the yogurt and lemon juice together and it was awesome!

Things that go half-assed when Mom is recuperating.

Halo Top ice cream
I have to apologize to @kris2100. I had no intention of this going the way that it did. I had no desire to have this be bashing. I'm sorry for the way the thread headed.

Being politically correct sucks!
We are in our new open enrollment for our insurance. This is a copy of what I sent up the chain. We are a company of 15000+ employees, there is no reason why the company can't get better rates. Needless to say, I'm pissed.

Nobody Thinks I Need Weight Loss Surgery
Don't worry about Mexico. No additional organs were harvested from me and we were treated like family. Better care there than anything we have received in the states. I'm more willing to go back there and have surgery than to get a flu shot here.

One Week Post Op
I recall going to Wally World on day 4 and being wiped out but on day 5 I did Wally World and Safeway like they were nothing. Eggs were ok but eggs with havarti cheese and green enchilada sauce was magical. I've had turkey chili a couple of times but I try to avoid the beans just to keep my carbs down. Once I get closer to my happy place i'll add beans back in. For me I know that carbs and sugars killed any diets that I had previously. It sounds like you are doing great! Keep up the good work!

Halo Top ice cream
I definitely think if you *know* it's a problem food, to skip it. But there are people who didn't live for ice cream (I am NOT one of them, thankyouverymuch! I'd cut you for Ben and Jerry's New York Super Fudge Chunk) who could eat something like Halo Top and do fine. It's really not much different than a yogurt, which I can eat without going overboard. I dunno, I guess in my newbie brain, I hope to be able to eat most normal things in moderation and have a bite or 2 of the 'better' version of an old favorite, like a little high-Protein Pasta or low-carb tortillas instead of my old flour friends. I may be wrong, of course! I agree 100% on not giving up on all of the wonderful foods out there. My point was that at 2 weeks out it would be very difficult to not start that as a habit that could go bad quickly.

New to the form
I keep eyeing a speed bag. A coworker had one and I loved it!

Halo Top ice cream
The issue for me would be portion control. Ice cream is a slider food. It is one of the foods that got me where I was. Being 2 weeks out would have been very difficult at best.

Need answers..
Thanks! My wife and I love to cook. I always take off the entire week of Thanksgiving just so we can prepare and enjoy making all of the various dishes that we make. We usually have 15-20 people over in our 1300 sqft home and we love every minute of it!

Need answers..
I made this meal 5 days after my sleeve. We had a bunch of people over and I smoked and bbq'ed. Part of why I did this was to to show myself that I didn't need food to be happy and enjoy an event.

Halo Top ice cream
Wow. That just seems like by choosing a food along those lines is a bad choice in general. I know that for me it would be a slippery slope.

Halo Top ice cream
Ot trying to bash you. Why are you choosing to eat ice cream at all?

Time off
A week off and I went salmon fishing the day before I came back. No issues whatsoever. Your results may vary.

Extremely painful backaches
Yeppers. It sucked. It was from posture changes. I found a squishy ball slightly larger than a golf ball (thanks son!) and I lay on it with 2 pillows under my head. I start at my tailbone and work my way up to my neck. I lay there until the ball no longer hurts and then I move it. Once I reach my neck I remove a pillow and work my way back to my tailbone. At the tailbone I remove the last pillow and go back to my neck. This process takes about an hour. The next day I feel like my spine is bruised but what a difference! When I start I can't get my head on the ground but at the end it isn't difficult at all.

Before and After Pics
I couldn't have said it better! I showed this picture to my wife and she swore that he was two different people at first.

f**king freezing
I have a theory on this and I could be way off base. My heart rate resting used to be 85-86 now it is 68-70. That is a difference of 18% less blood being moved throughout my body. My theory is that I'm cold due to less blood flow.

Halloween (can be healthy) Challenge - 10/3 through 10/31, 2016!
257! My goal was 260. I'm going to shoot high on this one at 249 as that is my 20% weight loss although 255 puts me in the 30's for bmi. Either way I'm a very happy still fat man!

Cheese post-op
Baby bell gouda for the win! I also eat jack cheese and I love havarti. I have a hard time with cheddar though, it sits hard on my stomach.

What soups?
I went to Safeway and ladled out the broth from their chunky chicken noodle soup. Five bucks for a quart. I put it in a coffee travel mug and just looked like your average everyday coffee freak. I personally wouldn't do cream of whatever soups simply because I didn't want to go the direction of something that I didn't want in my diet.
