Hot Sauce
I cant wait to have eggs with hot sauce. Yummmm. Im over this liquid phase. Sent from my LGMS330 using the BariatricPal App I asked my surgeon if hot sauce was ok for my eggs and he said that I should take it easy to see my tolerance. My first eggs has havarti cheese and green enchilada sauce. Awesome! The gunslinger has been in use a little over a month now. Just the right amount of kick for me.

Hot Sauce
I use Arizona Gunslinger Habanero sauce in my eggs and taco meat. Habaneros are always in the freezer just in case if I run out of fresh ones.

Vomited
That isn't being graphic. Being graphic is describing the taste coming up, the feeling as it shot from your body, the smell of the vomit, comparison of the color to that of 70's shag carpet, explaining the size of the chunks, giving us the distance of the projection and finally how hard it was to clean it up after it hit your cat but your dog helped with some of the clean up by eating most of it.No sir, your standards are too low. You're going to have to try harder next time.

How long did it take for you and others to notice a physical change

A quick update and Goodwill shopping
I like the few things that I found but 2xl and xl are almost nonexistent in my local Goodwill unless I'm looking for something to paint houses in...

DIET
I asked for permission from my surgeon, I didn't "cheat". The puree was driving me nuts! I asked if I could just chew the supreme crap out of food instead. He agreed as long as I was eating approved foods.

3 Weeks Post Op - Are chips and Guacamole allowed?
Trying not to be too much TMI here but I had the fun of hemorrhoids about a month ago. Things are moving well by adding some fiber to my diet but I feel like there is some serious structural rigidity to my stool. Also toilet paper usage has gone way down...

I know this has been done before but...attention
I could care less about "attention" from the opposite sex but it is really good to be noticed. It wasn't until about a week ago that I started hearing "you've lost weight" or "you've slimmed down". In that you are very single, rock it! Clothes definitely make a difference and from a man's perspective, wear even a short pair of heels. That sound will rip our heads around and we will check you out. Congratulations!

High sodium in power aid zero.
I can't drink plain water so I have been mixing Powerade Zero 50/50 with water. On the orange and lemon-lime flavors I add a crystal light lemonade package like you are supposed to mix with 16oz of water. I've been quite happy doing it this way.

3 Weeks Post Op - Are chips and Guacamole allowed?
This is much more polite, but not good advice. I'm firmly on the 'food is fuel, not treats' side of this WLS thing and you'll see me object nearly every time I come across a post, especially from someone new to this, talking about 'treating yourself' and advising people to 'try it and see if you can handle it' with known trigger foods like chips, sodas, candy, ice cream, etc. You don't stop eating your 'bad' foods until you're healed then start introducing them again...get over that mindset. To the OP, guacamole can be a good choice at 3 weeks if it's fairly smooth...I wouldn't eat big chunks of onion or jalapeno. I eat avocados with a spoon, right out of the skin, with a bit of balsamic vinegar. Very high-quality fat and a surprisingly high amount of Fiber, too! Enjoy! Avocado and fiber, yeppers! I've never been able to eat avocados because of this problem. It is a crazy natural laxative for me. 30-60 minutes after eating and I'm glued to a toilet seat.

How Will This Thanksgiving Be Your Healthiest Yet?
Family drama always happens leading to stress. It has already started! My father in law works for the Post Office and he threatened to kill himself and then started mumbling about coworkers. He is currently on a mental hold and will be discharged to a mental health inpatient facility most likely today due to his mental instabilities. We now have possession of his firearms in our safe after the police searched his home... Food was never a problem at these events but stress always was. Having more people over always helped. Who knows what this year will bring.

Still smoking
I work for a national home oxygen and respiratory company so I really shouldn't be saying this because smoker's pay my wages but... If you are taking control of your health through surgery, why are you still smoking? I see people every day who are dying from their choices. I was also slowly dying from my diet choices. That is why I did something about it. I know that you won't stop until you are ready but with giving too much detail, I have patients in their 20's and 30's on oxygen 24 hours a day. I also watched my mom die of lung cancer. She just turned 50. The choice is yours...

1 week preop, can't concentrate
I'm not going to deny that I felt mentally foggy for the first 3-4 weeks after surgery. It wasn't until I was mixing real food in that I felt mentally clear.

Does anyone regret having surgery?
I abso-freakin-lutely agree 100%

First day I can eat with no restrictions
That is awesome that you'very lost almost 100 pounds! I can certainly understand the mental aspect as well. Don't let "real food" be scary. This is a time to track your basics (calories, carbs and protein). Follow the instructions on your doctor's plan and experiment with some of your favorite recipes to make them friendly for your diet goals. I actually have more fun cooking now than I ever had before and I always loved to cook.

food funerals?
First off, you are making the right choice to take control of your health. You will be able to eat what you want down the road. The choices that you make will dictate your success. Food funerals are up to you. I had a last meal that I wasn't sure how long it would be before I could do again. The meal was angels blanco, shrimp wrapped in bacon with a cream sauce. The beans and rice went to my dog. I've had that meal since then and the difference now is that I ask for the sauce one the side and now the meal lasts 3 days. That meal follows the rules of protein first and I have such a small amount of the sauce that I can't see it being and issue.

3 Weeks Post Op - Are chips and Guacamole allowed?
I've been so confused about the things I can eat. I'm 3 weeks out and I can have regular textured Protein now. But struggle with in between meals etc. I have a list but I just feel like it's not detailed. Aside from that Breakfast is very important to me. I see folks eat scrambled egg with a little cheese and turkey bacon but is that too much this early? Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App If it is on your plan then go with it. The bacon wasn't at 3 weeks. Also, do you like that imitation bacon crap? Regular bacon is a gift from God! I'm at the point where I need to increase my calories so I'm eating either bacon or sausage for breakfast because I found that the calories first thing in the morning gives me more energy.
