One Week Post Op

I just came from my 1 week post-op appointment. All is good. Down to 266 lbs (on Drs scale). I was able to start mushy food today and enjoyed a little bowl of scrambled eggs for breakfast. After 3 weeks of liquids - the eggs were exceptional! We went grocery shopping after the Drs and just walking through the store wiped me out. Going to try some refried Beans in a little bit. I am doing great with fluids - not so great with Protein. Ordering some GENEPRO to help with meeting protein goals.

Hope all the October Sleevers are doing well!

Sounds great. You must be doing so well to be allowed real food after only a week.

  • That's usual for my Program but I feel like I'm doing well. No pain at all - haven't taken any pain meds. Cleared to drive! :-)

That's awesome! Congratulation. So happy you are feeling well. I know you had a rough start. I know you said you are down to 266. Have you lost since surgery or is that from the pre-surgery diet? I will join you on that loser's bench next Tuesday.

Congratulations! You are on your way :)

I recall going to Wally World on day 4 and being wiped out but on day 5 I did Wally World and Safeway like they were nothing. Eggs were ok but eggs with havarti cheese and green enchilada sauce was magical. I've had turkey chili a couple of times but I try to avoid the beans just to keep my carbs down. Once I get closer to my happy place i'll add beans back in. For me I know that carbs and sugars killed any diets that I had previously. It sounds like you are doing great! Keep up the good work!

I weighed 282 day liquid diet started. On my scale - I weighed 272 day of surgery but 279 day I came home from hospital. :-) I'll make room for you!

Congratulations on the awesome start. I know you are going to continue to do great!!
