  19. Awesome topic! Thanks everyone! I thought I was eating too much compared to others on this site at about 3 months out (800-900 cal /day), but have been struggling making through workouts lately. Lots of reassuring info in this thread... PS - I had actually stopped coming to the site regularly because it seems like everyone asks the same questions over, and over, and over again (search function anyone?). Big thank you to all the veterans for chiming in!

  22. Thank you so much for chiming in @@LipstickLady! I think cutting the mashed potatoes is a good idea and I don't eat them that often... All great advice. Thanks! PS - Always enjoy your posts!
  23. Hi, I’m a little concerned about my food volume and restriction at 7-weeks post-op. Looking for input from guys specifically, and/or veterans. I’m following my NUT’s guidelines, measuring/weighing food, and have lost 64lbs total (24 pre-op, and 40 post-op) in 11 weeks. Since Thanksgiving, I’ve been cleared for “soft” solids. My usual dinner has been 3-4oz of chicken, fish, or ground beef/turkey. I typically put 1-2 TBSP of gravy or low-carb sauce on the meat, and have ½ cup soft veggies, or occasionally mashed potatoes. Or, I can eat 1-cup of say, chili w/ Beans, or a thick Soup (Chunky's)... This is following my NUT’s plan, but I never feel “stuffed”, just reasonably full and satisfied eating this volume after 20-25 minutes. I’m getting 80-100gr of Protein in a day. My concern is this seems like WAY more food than most on this forum can eat at 6-8 weeks out. I raised my concerns with my NUT, but she said I was fine. I’m also concerned at what my volume will be like in 3 months, 6 months, or 1-year out. Any advice?
  24. Absolutely amazing transformation in just 4.5 months! That's astonishing!
  25. .....AND, you look awesome!!!
  26. Pretty inspirational. Thanks for sharing your success!
  27. Very interesting. Thanks for sharing! Not too dissimilar from mine.
  28. My plan called for 1/2 cup portions during the puree stage. The denser the food was (refried beans, chili, etc), the less I could eat. With soups, I could eat a little more (maybe 3/4 of a cup), but tried to eat just 1/2 cup, as directed by my NUT. Good luck! The puree stage only lasts for a short period of time.
  29. My great irrational fear is that my surgeon didn't actually perform the sleeve gastrectomy... I'm following my plan, but it just seems like 1-cup of total food per meal is too much at 5-weeks out. Planning to have a conversation with my NUT tomorrow. Thanks everyone!
  30. Everyone's experience is different, but I could drink normally 3-4 weeks after surgery. Good luck with your running. You can do it!
