Did you have a catheter during surgery? I've read on some "what to expect" sites that you will but haven't seen anyone here mention it. Seems strange you'd need one if you're supposed to be up and walking so soon. If you did have one did they put it in while you were under? When did they take it out? Ii had my cardio visit this morning and now am scheduled for the nuclear stress test and echo in 10 days due to abnormal EKG. Scary for me but I have to make sure all is ok. I called them every other day. Just called today and they told me it was approved yesterday and they are mailing a letter.

Speaking from being in your shoes.i had surgery March 28th, found out I was pregnant April 13th. I was pregnant when I had surgery but do to the hospital only doing a urine test it was too early to detect. Had they done blood work I wouldn't have had surgery and I would be having a healthy baby in Dec. Due to the surgery and me not being able to eat / drink anything I had to terminate.. I was not able to even keep down Water. food was a huge NO!!!! I vomit everyday all day.. Trust me you want to let them know ahead of time and reschedule your surgery to avoid mental, emotional torture... GOOD LUCK, BEST WISHES AND CONGRATS ON A HEALTHY BABY!! My plan says it is allowed after one month. I have a hard time believing I would feel ready for that then. When I am ready I am planning on wine and will try it at home first to see how I react before drinking in public.
