  1. So now that I am on the other side the things I found invaluable were: Phone and charger (lots of loved ones checking in which was nice) Biotene spray Chapstick Earbuds (there was a woman across the hall moaning all night and calling for her daughter. Very sad but between the morphine and ear buds she sounded much further away) Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

  5. Yes, it almost feels like when I take a sip it sits at the top of a funnel and then five seconds later I feel it go through to stomach with funny noises. I wonder if that has to do with the hiatal hernia I had repaired. It doesn't hurt but is definitely uncomfortable Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  6. Mine submitted same day as my last appt. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

  9. I can keep things down but just have to sip very slowly. I sip all damn day and barely got in 18 0z so far today. I was having trouble keeping track because I kept adding ice to my drink so now pour it into the 2oz disposable condiment cups and log it as soon as I'm done with each one. Good luck! 10. Ensure plus is added calorie and I think has 350 calories so you can add that. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  11. I am one of the ones having difficulty. I also had a hiatal hernia repaired (which I did not know I had). I take small sips and about 5 seconds later feel a strange sensation of the fluids going down. How long does it take for the swelling to go down? 12. My nausea was very mild. They have me two Meds through IV and sent me home with a prescription which I am taking to prevent any nausea. The woman in my hospital room was also sleeved by my surgeon same day and was puking her guts out. They gave her extra stuff including the patch but she was miserable. I think it is very individualized. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  13. I was sleeved Monday and also having lots of trouble drinking. Just feels very uncomfortable going down. A sugar free Popsicle was very helpful today. Good luck! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

  15. Got home yesterday. Pretty miserable. Read it all here but always worse when it happens to you . Drinking is tough and pain is manageable but uncomfortable. Pretty nauseous but no vomiting and taking the meds. Hoping these next few days go quick. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  16. In pre-op now, IV is in and just waiting now! Hardly nervous at all, just very excited to be on other side. Lost 8lbs on one week pre-op and didn't cheat once. I'm mentally prepared for this! Wish me luck! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
