How did you feel two months post-op?
My work has asked if I would go to London on a short term assignment (about 3 months) and it would start when I am about 2 months post op. How did you all feel then? I'm assuming I'll still be a bit tired but one of my biggest concerns is just being out of my element and trying to find the type of high Protein, low sugar and carb foods. I'd appreciate any thoughts you have about whether or not you feel like this would have been an issue for you. Thx Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

Bone broth
So I have been reading a lot about bone broth and it looks alike a great option to get Protein and liquids post surgery. Anyone here drink it? Is it actually any good? Any particular brand you like? I've seen Kettle & Fire and Bare Bones online. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

Hospital stay
I asked my surgeon last visit. He said 90% leave after one night. The other 10% either are having trouble keeping liquid down or ask to stay because home is hectic with kids etc and they want peace and quiet Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

Scheduled for July 18
Oh man, I'm sorry you had to reschedule. The insurance piece of this is crazy but will be worth it in the end. Nice to know someone on the same day as me Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

Scheduled for July 18
Had my fifth month appt today and the surgeon scheduled me for July 18. Six month appt is June 28 and he will submit to insurance then but wanted to pencil me in now. Sh*t is getting real :-) On a side note I spoke with Anthem today just to make sure I was on track. The guy did say the six months is to ensure non surgical efforts are unable to work so that if I do drop below 40 BMI that would disqualify me because it means non surgical efforts did work. Seems silly that I will now be trying not to lose too much before it is submitted to insurance. I am right on the cusp since having lost about 10 pounds.

Coffee
My dr said fine as long as it does not interfere with getting all fluids and Protein. I have not had surgery yet but asked in advance as I do love my coffee and was going to start weening myself in advance if I had to so as not to go through withdrawal on top of recovery. I feel like my partner isn't even trying to eat better
Losing weight and having WLS is such a personal choice. You were ready, he clearly is not and you can't will him to be ready. Think about how you reacted when people tried to push you before you were ready. Having said that, your life is going to change drastically for the better. More energy, more confidence etc. you are going to want to do things to enjoy this new life that you didn't before because it was too hard or because you didn't have the energy. If he is not in a position to do that with you it is going to put a tremendous strain in your relationship and it sounds like he realized this before you did this was not on board with your surgery. I wish you the best of luck in working this out. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

Cheating on the liquid pre-op diet :(
As others have said, I doubt it will be a problem. Sounds like you made the best choice though in a difficult situation so good for you!
