Not What I Expected
If you like sweets buy sugar free candies, or sugar free pudding etc. That way you get the sweet but not all the sugar. Tis what I do and I am not even banded yet

Ready and willing!
You have had such a huge success with Lapband. I'm glad I can talk to someone like you

What my mother said
if it wasn't for my mom i wouldnt be getting this surgery. She found out they were getting it locally and helped me find out info on the doc etc. I had already found a bunch of info online for traveling to someplace but thanks to her I'm getting it done close to home and she is with me 100% she takes me to all my appts. And while I am on the diet, she is eating good too to help me along. I did have several 'friends' who said why don't you actually TRY yourself to lose weight. Some people just don't think about what they are saying at all. Or they don't have much of a brain or common sense.

Mmm, it's been forever since I've had peanut butter.

went to meeting, hospital wants $500.00 out pocket
I don't understand this at all. I don't pay anything for all my program until after surgery, and my insurance will pay most of it. I have never heard of them charging an upfront fee.

Can you drink too much liquid??? HELP
that much tea isn't good for you if you are going to drink that much tea try to drink around that much water as well or try adding some water to your daily routine.

L@@KING for a Buddy!
I write everything I eat down and all of my exercise in a daily log. It helps me keep track of my calories and keeps my exercise on track. As for exercising I do lots of walking. Slow/brisk whatever it may be. I also stretch and do a bit of pilates with 2 lb weights, and I do beginners yoga. I have the best results with walking though. It does wonders. When I get hungry, and I've already had enough food or I am craving something bad for me I grab a Water, or a banana, eat a small bowl of salad or find something to do like walk or get on the computer. I have found when I have other stuff to do it's easier not to over-eat. Dealing with stress without food actually is easier than I thought it was going to be. I am not banded yet but with this diet I am on for my insurance I am on a specific calorie intake (1200-1600) and I must exercise and have at least 60oz of water a day. When I feel stressed I go walk or go sit outside and listen to the birds, get on the computer and come on here, write, read a book. Anything that will get my mind off the food. It's actually really helpful and I have seen good results. Hope I was some help.

WATER ... It's sposed to be good for ya!
If you use regular bottled water and buy the little pouches for them in crystal lite it's fine. Those are sugar free.

Easy approval question...
Even if I wasn't going through insurance, my lapband surgeon requires a psych eval, at least 1 1/2 months of nutritional classes, and all the lab work etc. The only thing different with my insurance is it's 6 months nutritional classes/supervised weightloss diet.

WATER ... It's sposed to be good for ya!
Doing that is fine, it just adds taste to the water so it's more bearable for some people. I adore regular water though. But it's fine.

surgery cancelled so sad and mad right now
My doctor is making me have an ekg before even thinking about cutting me open. I don't understand why some doctors don't do it.

WATER ... It's sposed to be good for ya!
After it shoves the food in your system out of the pouch and will make you hungry. Before they don't want liquid in the pouch because you won't get enough solids in your pouch to keep you full and you will get hungry quicker. Plus the liquid already in your pouch can make the solids go through faster too. As for drinking Water I drink it when I'm thirsty, or when I'm hungry and I don't need to eat anymore. Also I drink it when I'm working out and when I am bored and on here etc. Whenever I feel like I need something in my hand to keep me from eating something. I know I haven't been banded yet but I am on the 6 month diet so I need to take in a bunch of water as well and calories between 1200-1600 usually 1200-1500.

Which Number Will AETNA Look At?
Almost all insurances use the before BMI before the 6 month. Mine is but my BMI is way high but either way you should be fine. I wish you luck.
