  1. Sorry to hear about the insomnia, tap. As a sleep therapist, I have to tell you that transient insomnia (meaning short term) is extremely common (like all the money being spent on sleep aides doesn't say the same thing, right?). Let it be said that I truly am Master of the Obvious...
  2. Let us know how it goes, Old Timer.
  3. Uh, Leslie, you're getting close to Morgan Spurlock territory there...
  4. Are you saying I'm indelicate?!? Why, I'm like honey.....smooooooooth.... <----- blatant sarcasm
  5. Hey, strictly to play devil's advocate here, because nothing in that bill sounded wrong, or wasteful, or bad. In fact, it sounds like something that's needed (assuming nobody tacks any crappy riders on the bill, as politicians are wont to do). But....I fully support very tough mandatory sentences for first time child predators (aka "Jessica's Law"). See, so far I think only 33 states have tough mandatory minimums for pedophiles. What I think is that law enforcement can catch all the pervs they want, but if an activist judge gives that perv a joke sentence and lets them walk the streets, then what is gained? BTW, Georgia does, in fact have tough minimums, so congrads.
  6. Write-Oh is totally correct. Get this thread back on subject now!! Honestly, I turn my back on you guys for 2 seconds, and look what you've done......
  7. Hey BBK, this is kind of a weird random question, but who is Ralph, and why is your mom specifically worried about him seeing your pinup pics?
  8. Talk to your primary care doc and tell him (or her) that you can't afford the Symbicort, and then ask if there is a cheaper generic steroid that's "the next best thing". Relying on your rescue inhaler is like bailing out a leaky boat with a cup....better to use a steroid and plug the leak before you start bailing the water. Man, I just realized that I suck pretty bad at analogies...
  9. Sounds like it's time for you to put the "halo" avitar back up!! Awwww....so nice, you are..... You can be my apprentice....I'll break you of that nice crap!! LOL

Tap, what's the metric conversion for that??
  11. Not me...I'm all in!!! *excitedly rubs hands together*
  12. What a nerd, Heehee.....BTW, Happy B-day, since my work week is ending tonight, and I usually reserve LBT for weekdays. PS- Get a myspace site so I can friend you, ya geek!!
  13. BBK, you know I voted for you....but......NUDITY ROCKS!!!! WOOO- HOOOO!!!
  14. I know a little something about polygraphs. They cannot distinguish the "truth" from "a lie". The whole examination is set up to play a huge mind game on the subject. There are a ton of little tricks used. In fact, one of the biggest questions they ask is "have you done any research on polygraphs". Government agencies and some private companies might use the polygraph (and it is a little more accurate when used in a serial manner, where you can yearly polys), but that doesn't mean that it does what they say it does. If the polygraph could REALLY tell the difference between a truth and a lie, it'd be used in criminal cases.

what do you do?!? what do you do?!?
  16. Y'all want to know the sex before the birth, or be surprised?? BTW, I'll IM you my personal address so you can send me some of that fat commission check...I mean, if you're still trying to decide what to do with it.....

Ok, I found it....Click the link only if you're geeky like me and want to know why a pond of feathers is not equal to a pound of gold. Troy weight - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
  18. Suggest to your boss she random drug test both you and the tweak. First one to come up positive gets fired.
  19. Too cool! I wish I had pics / video of my own...
  20. Yeah, I'm very curious to see how it'll turn out. Good luck.
  21. Susan, speak for yourself.....If word of this "ignore system" gets out, nobody on here will ever see anything I post (....cause they'll all be ignoring me, get it). lol

Ahhh! But......a ton of feathers does not weigh the same as a ton of gold. There's some weird weight scale pertaining to gold (and some other precious metals) that is different than our standard system of weights, even though the jargon is the same. That makes comparing anything with gold a "trick question" weightwise. Confused? me too. I'll look for a link.
  23. BTW, I've been thinking about your prob with your cubicle neighbor. What I would do (but I'm a cranky old curmudgeon) is take the cord that connects the phone to the wall....he will inevitably replace it, but maybe it'll give you a few hours of quiet. If you were really, truly evil (and I suspect you must be, SNT, since you root for the vols) you would put a clear substance (I won't name it.....but it rhymes with "duper shoe" ) over the microphone part and external speaker part of his phone, dampening the sound and gently encouraging him to use the damn handset. If nothing else, pick up your phone and hold your own annoying conversations at elevated volumes.
  24. I second what Lulac said. You're a hard ass. You'll land feet down. You absolutely can do this, no matter how hard.
  25. Poohat totally rocks, and so does the name "Dorfus Farklegirdle"!
