  1. There are times when I hate the band as well. I also have no sweet spot. But I try to look on the positive side, I wouldn't have lost the weight I have lost, without it.
  2. I love it so far. There's so much more to it than the calorie counting feature. The coaching session really helped me go over all the bodybugg has to offer.
  3. I'm joining in and starting tomorrow. Back to liquids for me.
  4. I just ordered the biggest loser yoga as well. I can't wait to try out my new dvds.
  5. I was told 1000-1200 calories/day post-op. You should check with your surgeon. 500 calories sounds a little low.
  6. amccra07, Is it possible to see your nutritionist between now and your fill? I'm going to see mine next week. Hopefully she can help.
  7. Lap Band for Life by Dr. Ariel Ortiz
  8. Definitely speak with your surgeon. It's a very individual decision. I was moved to solids in 2 weeks.
  9. Congrats! I have lost 45 lbs and have about 70 to go.
  10. LeslieR041906, I understand exactly what you are going through. I have bipolar disorder as well. I'm having a lot of issues with food and fills right now. My surgeon can't find the right spot, either I'm too loose or too tight, there's no middle. I take Geodon for my bipolar disorder. I was on Abilify before this and it made my symptoms worse. I hope you feel better soon.
  11. Has anyone tried the new Biggest Loser Boot Camp DVD. I pre-ordered mine a couple of weeks ago on eBay, but haven't received it yet.
  12. I eat turkey bacon as I did before, without any problems. You should be ok with regular bacon as well.
  13. I'm not familiar with berlin, pa, but I live in delaware county, and mine was covered. I have keystone mercy.
  14. I have my bodybugg up and running. It fits perfectly.
  15. I just received my bodybugg yesterday. My arms are pretty big as well. I've been watching the biggest loser religiously and some of the people were bigger than me and they wore theirs without a problem, so hopefully I don't have any issues either.
  16. I started at 257 pounds and all I was able to really do was walk and use try to use the elliptical. Have you tried the elliptical machine? It's very low impact and burns a lot of calories.
  17. I have "Lapband for Life" by Dr. Ortiz. You can find it on eBay or Amazon. It prepares you for surgery and life after surgery.
  18. In my support group we meet for an hour every other week. The meeting is run by our outpatient exercise coordinator and either the dietician or psychologist. the meeting consists of powerpoint presentations and handouts. We are allowed to ask questions and make comments throughout the course of the meeting. I've been going to the meetings since March until last month, but I no longer go. I don't feel I'm getting anything from these meetings.
  19. I thought I was the only one who felt this way as well. I've tried to explain this to my nurse but she didn't quite understand what I am going through with this. Food just isn't the same and I have little to no interest in it. I do eat because I need to have something, but it definitely isn't enjoyable.
  20. Congratulations and good luck on your journey
  21. Congratulations on your approval
  22. I only had to do the optifast for 1 week, but I found it pretty easy. I was able to put in frozen fruit in the shakes and spice it up a bit. It's really not that bad.
  23. The doctor said one week but I had to drive 2 days after surgery but I wasn't on any pain meds either
