  1. What do we know about 10yrs down the road for a lapband? And who on here has had a band longer than 8 years?
  2. Like your new picture...looks younger than your previous photo!
  3. One more question I forgot to ask, do you know if it can be used on color-treated hair? Thanks so much
  4. Not banded yet but just preparing my self since I am thin on the top now...OK does rogaine have an odor and does it make your hair oily or anything? Thanks
  5. MadamBomb....go ahead and find some places in your area and go to seminars. They wont let you do anything until you do that. Most places..the person that does insurance can tell you of their experiences with your particular company. They will also be able to tell you the criteria that insurance company requires. I have been addicted to this site ever since I found it, and have learned sooo much here. I am not banded yet but am in the process of taking care of all the preliminary stuff.
  6. It almost makes me sick to my stomach to see cars with kids not in a car seat!
  7. Thats a great start GOOD FOR YOU!! I am hoping to get a date very soon!
  8. I sure cant top that. I did get a really mushy card. Went to a doctor appointment, went to Carraba's to eat, got a carnation there. Got home and husband said he had ordered something online for me but we never got any delivery. Now he is having to find out what happened to it. He said it was flowers...its the thought that counts.
  9. Have you been taking any Vitamins or supplements? This one thing I worried about because my hair is thin on the top anyway, I cant afford to lose any. Were you getting in your Protein?? Please let us know.
  10. This was in our paper today. I thought it belonged here. Roses are red Diamonds so shiny Chocolates so scrumptious End up on our hiney!
  11. I wondered what to call those. But I only have one on one side, thats strange. If I have plastic surgery that is the 1st thing to go. I was hoping the guys would chime in here. My husband is a big boob lover. Good thing...48DD and even when I was young and thin my pecs were flat. What I dislike the most is when men talk to my boobs. I always tell my husband I want to look at their ba**s and talk to them!
  12. When I had my first child ...ah....34yrs ago (hard to believe) I didnt feel maternal at all. Part of that was I was only 18. It slowly took over, and I do mean slowly. I dont think I really felt maternal until I had my second one. But, having patience with someone elses little ones gets easier after you have kids, because you KNOW how hard it is sometimes to get them to do things. I have a VERY good daughter in law that is a Mom. Very attentive, and my granddaughter doesnt get away with much. She is very behaved, but sometimes she gets a little out of hand. And its not from lack of training by Mom & Dad. Shes just a kid, and kids will be like that. We arent all perfect all the time. Just my 2 cents worth!
  13. When my second husband and I got married I told the minister to leave out the "obey" also. My husband thought I was being weird, its just a word. I said no I cant say it!
  14. I am addicted to this forum!!
  15. I was just gonna say gallbladder too. Mine was from the center of my chest straight to the middle of my back. Felt like a hot poker stuck thru me. I had a friend that her gallbladder pain was lower right side. I have learned with a gallbladder the symptons are numerous different places. Insist they check it. It took my doctor a year to figure it out!
  16. I am a retired Customer Service Rep (20+yrs) from a Major telecommunications company. I loved the billing and collections. Hated the sales!
  17. I am so sorry. I lost my Dad about 8 yrs ago and my Mom about 5 yrs ago. I DO feel kinda like I am left alone in the world. The worst thing I have went thru was when I lost my 43yr old sister 10yrs ago to lung cancer. I still miss her every day. Take care.
  18. My son is going for his "3rd" deployment to Iraq sometime this year.
  19. Yes, bottles. I dont remember about the powder because thats not what I was gonna get. I too am trying things out before hand. I dont want to be pre-op and get frantic about getting something satisfying down. www.vitalady.com sells samples of her powders for 1.99 each (dont know about the shipping/handling) & I think I may order some of those. The names sound really good.
  20. I had read on the forum here where some recommended Isopure. I just came from our local GNC store and they have a sale right now (not sure when it ends). Buy 1..Get 1 50% off. Thought I would let you all know.
  21. Put hiatal hernia in the search here. I have read posts of people getting band surgery, the doc finds the hernia while he is in there, and just repairs it. They still get the band. Don't be forced into getting something you don't want. Good luck
  22. Definitely be more afraid of having kids! Being nekid wont last long......kids are FOREVER!!!!!
