  1. Yeah I look like a melting candle
  2. For me it was actually the first place I lost weight. I didn't do anything special, my chin was the first thing to go
  3. i waffled back and forth. I tried the garcinia stuff, the raspberry keytones, the green coffee, prescription pills, nutrisystem, weight watchers, jenny craig, counting calories on my own. Until I could barely fit in my car, and could barely walk up the stairs to my apartment.
  4. sometimes i find that a pitcher of crystal light goes down better than water. I like the peach iced tea and pink lemonade the best
  5. I always have a couple bottles of Gatorade Zero around in case I can't get enough fluids in, I think it helps
  6. Only my closest family and two close friends know about my surgery.
  7. For me the weakness continued post op because of how few calories I was consuming. I didn't feel hungry or nauseous though
  8. Hey guys, this might seem like an odd request but I don't really have anywhere else to ask this. I'm working on a gift for someone. It's a crochet scarf that's going to look like sheet music. White scarf with black lines and music notes on it. I want the notes to be from an actual piece of music so what I'm looking for is a piece of piano music that is kinda simple so I can crochet the notes but also kind of well known does that make any sense at all? thanks in advance if anyone can help
  9. one of my favorite ways to eat tomatoes is to cut some small tomatoes in half and hollow them out and then fill them with tuna or chicken salad
  10. oooh that sounds tasty
  11. My favorite is roasted cauliflower.. I toss it with a touch of olive oil and salt and I add some capers too. The capers get crispy and they're very tasty Asparagus with olive oil and lemon and garlic is good and right now butternut squash is available and I love to cube that up toss it with some olive oil, salt, a touch of curry and ginger powders
  12. I'm actually eating a handfull of cherry tomatoes right now I started eating tomatoes at 4 weeks when I was cleared for most food
  13. I went to see my husband in a production of Young Frankenstein, then after we went out to eat and I had most of a small appetizer. It was fun
  14. I wouldn't tell people I had surgery. If someone comments on my drastic loss I just say I've been working hard to loose weight, thank you for noticing and leave it at that.
  15. we went to Fridays last night and I had the ahi tuna appetizer. Amazing
  16. lean cuisine or weight watchers frozen meals are good and are periodically on sale. They're smallish portions and some of them are pretty high in protein
  17. well it's good they found the tumor. be careful with the gallstones. I had them years ago and I was told that the stones could clog the ducts to the liver and get infected and cause huge problems. Not to mention the attacks were incredibly painful (compared to child birth)
  18. that looks yummy! also in the store section here they have Protein chips. They are pretty good and satisfy the potato chip itch
  19. It's funny but one of my weight loss goals that I've already achieved was to be even able to get on a doctor's scale at all (not counting my bariatric doctor) For a while they would ask me to get on the scale and my weight was more than the max of the scale.
  20. I don't think I would ever make my Water goal if it wasn't for flavored water. I like to get frozen strawberries and toss those in my water bottle They help keep the water cold for a while then when the water is done I eat the berries
  21. I got some premade vanilla shakes that were not so great on their own. But I add some ice cubes and some instant decaf coffee and blend it and its almost like a frapuccino. Also sometimes I add some frozen berries
  22. I have found that different foods fill me up faster than others. There's a lot of trial and error learning what you can tolerate and how much. just eat slowly and learn what your full signals are.
  23. ever since I started eating solid food I've been having a few sips of Water with my food.
  24. I have kind of an eggplant parm recipe. I take the skin off the eggplant but you can leave it on. Cut it into slices about 1/2 inch thick and place the slices on a baking sheet. I top the eggplant with slices of tomato and roast them until the eggplant is tender. Then I top it with a few leaves of fresh spinach and mozzarella and give it a few more minutes so the cheese melts. it's not parm but another eggplant recipe I love is taking the eggplant an slicing it long way into thin slices, then rolling them up with some well seasoned ricotta cheese and roasting the rolls.
