Here is my latest list of "You know you lost weight when" answers.
This is for my heterosexual people in here. When you go from not really having the opposite sex pay you any attention at all, to now having multiple people approach you about dating. (Yeah I know it seems a bit shallow, but damn it I didn't really have a shallow phase at all until now so let me live in it for a bit).
When you can actually start wearing suits and they look on you exactly like how they look on the models in the suit brochures, that's when you know you've lost some weight.
When you can lay down and see your rib cage, pelvic bone, hip bones, and genitals and not have to suck in your gut cause its flat enough to see straight down now.
To be able to shop in stores that don't have the phrase "Big & Tall" in the store name.
*Also I maybe the only one that does this, its also a bit dangerous and silly but.....* To be able to drive with one's leg on the dash because his legs and thighs are skinny enough to allow for such flexible acts of nature.

Well I need to lose 50 to get back to my lowest. The weight has gone on gradually over the past 3 years, I knew I had to get it in hand but didn't. How did I get in this position well it's wine and snacking (grazing). My husband and I can share a bottle of wine (or 2!) but it is accompanied by crisps (chips) and a family bar of chocolate. Cakes and biscuits have also creeped in to my diet. See I know exactly what I'm doing wrong. I do have good restriction and if I eat correctly I get full on quite small amounts. The other thing I have done wrong is give up exercise. I don't like exercising but I do know it is essential.

My plan: initially there will be no wine at home and consequently cut out the crisps and chocolate. Exercise. The number 50 is too big for me and quite frightening so I am going to cut it down into sections of 5 which seems so much more manageable.

I have started today and I have used my elliptical and there is no wine in the house.

Good morning friends! I am excited about what today will bring as I embark on my journey of getting back to the basics. I plan on eating 3 meals today with no snacking in between and one Protein Shake to make sure I get in all my Protein. I plan on trying to plan out my meals for the week so I don't get overwhelmed. I also am striving to drink at least 64oz of Water if not more. I hope and pray you all have a wonderful day️

May God bless you and keep you️

Hello my fellow WLS peeps. I am on a mission to lose 50 pounds that I have regained. I am feeling hopeful and know that getting back to basics will do it. I would like this thread to be a place where we can come and be transparent and accountable. I plan on checking in with a weigh in every Monday starting tomorrow. If you want to join me, let's do this!
    Heightist weight: 289
    Lowest: 157
    Goal: 150
Attached is my before surgery pic, me at my lowest and where I am today.
May God bless you and keep you️

I thought it was just me. I find myself wanting to wear cute jackets now. Im always on the colder end now and always need a light jacket but with summer coming and me needing a new wardrobe, especially for my new job (squeal! ), its anxiety inducing not knowing how things are going to fit or supposed to fit. But it's still fun thinking about new clothes. Just gotta get rid of the old ones. But i find it hard because i feel i might need them again.

Well I'm almost two years post op 3mts away and I still have like 50lbs to reach my overall goal with the most lost almost 70lbs with a wt gain of 12lbs. Just seem like I can't get back on track I can't just not touch things I shouldn't. I have my days or weeks I do wonderful then I add back in bad stuff here and there. Everyone tells me how wonderful I look but no one knows that hey she haven't lost as much as the think. I really want to shed these pounds and need some helpful advice and solutions on what to do.

Haven't posted on this site for almost a year. I was sleeved 03-16-16 by Dr. Laura July in Minneapolis, MN. No complications. The last year has been wonderful. I started at 270lbs in October 2014. On surgery day I was 250lbs. As of today I am 158lbs at 5'7.

14months since the surgery, seems I've reached my weight, haven't been gaining or losing for a few weeks. Finally!
    Some before:

Last week during some holidays in Norway:

It was after a 5hours walk through the Norwegian mountains, the view of the fjord was great and I was really glad I could climb up all this, one year ago I would not have been able to do so! I now am in better physical shape than most of my friends which feels kinda weird but satisfying as well.

I haven't posted to this thread in a long time so I thought I would participate with the newbies. The first picture was taken sometime in 2012, not even my heaviest but probably close. It was the only one I have that shows a profile though. The other picture is from todays form check video I submit to my coach.
