Haven't posted on this site for almost a year. I was sleeved 03-16-16 by Dr. Laura July in Minneapolis, MN. No complications. The last year has been wonderful. I started at 270lbs in October 2014. On surgery day I was 250lbs. As of today I am 158lbs at 5'7.

I was sleeved a month ago... and took my pain meds as prescribed by my doc for a week, until it was finished. We all don't have the same pain tolerance. Take your meds. Give it time. I had severe acid reflux prior to my sleeve.. had the endoscopy prior... doc gave me the ins and outs and I still chose to do it. Once my hernia was repaired. I think that solved my problem a lot. I still take Nexum and Zantac daily... and I don't mind. I am 4 weeks post op w/ no complications or problems. No regrets. I'm tolerating solids and liquids just fine. It is a personal decision, you and your doctor will need to discuss. Re-routing of my intestines and the possibility of mal nutrition and less absorption of my daily pills and Vitamins were my top reasons for not doing gastric bypass vs dealing with acid reflux/GERD. I had vsg on 3/16 and I'm sick of walking.. I'm ready to run on my treadmill and outside. When can I start? Incisions are healed. Eating solids just fine. Nutrition is on point, and my sleeve and I are loving each other. We are finding balance and embracing our new life together... but I need to step up the fitness side of things!! ???? Yeah this happened to my husband and I. I am 3 weeks post gastric sleeve... Once we started having sex, it hurt, the deeper he went. Never had that problem prior to surgery. I have no problem with dryness. I figured either I had to poop, or my intestines were still swollen on top of my uterus and cervix area. My incisions do not hurt, and are almost healed. I've had the same experience as you, in regards to pain. I've had 4 natural births... and a lapariscopic ectopic pregnancy. I was sleeved on the 16th, and it was a breeze. How are you doing? Sent from my SM-G900V using the BariatricPal App I'm doing amazing actually! I'm almost 6 months post op. I'm at 158 now, so I'm 1 pound away from 100 pound loss! I'm so grateful for everything I've experienced so far. Lately I've had a little bit of problems swallowing so I'm getting a camera put down my throat to check to make sure everything looks the way it should but other than that I'm doing amazing! I hope all is well with everyone!!!
