  3. search for the 3 week stall it happens it sucks but you will be ok your body is just catching up

  5. I had my initial meeting with Surgeon nut and patient Coordinator then I have 6 classes with the nut then I need psych eval chest X-ray cardiologist clearance and letter of medical necessity from pcp
  6. I would have eaten something most fast food places have a chicken salad in some form. But to better prep for next time stock up on trail mix beef jerky nuts even pre mixed protein shakes can survive in a trunk for a while just get a cup of ice and your good to go
  7. I use mfp for my logs for my nutritionist and I'm thinking of switching over to the Atkins app when I have the surgery
  8. I'm pre-op but my freezer has ground turkey frozen talapia and some morningstar grillers veggie burgers. My fridge has yogurt string cheese lactaid milk pickles and lots of fresh veggies. I make soup Every couple of days with something I grab from the store. I visit the farmers market for fresh vegetables once a week I can get a but load for cheap and I use loads of spices
  9. I picked up a small jar from giant the other day and added it to my chocolate protein shake it tastes like a recess
  10. Right now I'm still pre-op but I'm playing around with my crock pot quite a bit and trying different meats and different cooking times and lengths. So far my in laws have been loving that they get soup every couple of days because they are old and don't like to cook
  11. I took nutrition in high school along with cooking and food safety I know alot about it but the bad stuff just tasted better and I was lazy and hated cooking. Now I love cooking and trying to mix up things in the crock pot
  12. I make a work around for pizza. I take 4 oz of chicken shredded in a cheese grater then throw pasta or pizza sauce on it then throw on shredded cheese. The chicken is already cooked. After all that put in the microwave for a minute and bam pizza bowl
  13. I've been experimenting with pork shoulder this past week and its turned out great both times. In the crock pot put in the meat frozen or thawed doesn't matter. Then 5 or 6 large carrots then 8 or 9 red skinned potatoes. 1 chopped red onion. A box of chicken broth or if your in a pinch a can of chicken noodle soup. A can of green beans. The seasoning I use are garlic sea salt adobo I ( its a Spanish type seasoning that you can find in the ethnic section of all grocery stores) dried basil and oregano
  14. I just had my second nut appointment and I gained weight I'm so frustrated but it was only 2 pounds nothing major I'm gonna turn in 2 weeks of food logs to my nut and see where I can improve

  17. my wedding took 1.5 years to plan and pay for so just be prepared for that we had a small 70 person family only wedding and had the reception at my house and it cost 15 grand so if money is going to be an issue for you i would wait two years
  18. this grabbed my attention as i am pre surgery and i fear not getting to goal in the first year i know i can do it but when i am bored or exausted my first instinct is to grab some cookies or chips from my nephews snacks they live with us right now. i know i need to stop and get back on my nuts plan
  19. wow you've been through the ringer but your gonna be okay sleeve is what i am getting and i feel perfectly content in my decision
  20. I know 1 naturally skinny person my grandad he can eat litteraly anything drinks 2-3 regular Pepsi every day but he at the age of 77 still gets up at 4 am and goes to work in construction
  21. My husband is a rock star and even though he really needs the surgery more than I do but won't get it he's super supportive of me getting it. He's been helping me buy my protein powder and go to my appointment and making sure we don't eat crap food any more
  22. i plan on using my nutra ninja its awesome and makes shakes blends purees and all sorts of things
  23. my dr rocks he has seen how my weight has been affecting me for the past 5 years so hes completely on board with all this
