I am at the point that I only look at the scale once per week. I am really pretty uninterested in what it says as the "clothes" test tell me that I am releasing fat. I have to go clothes shopping today as my even my skinny clothes, the 40" waist ones, are now falling off. All of my belts are now useless as they look ridiculous from extra notching back.
My energy is not only back, but is so much higher it is almost unbelievable. I exercise everyday now and look forward to doing so. My day to day life is so much more enjoyable. I look forward to releasing even more fat so my body can be even healthier!

Wow! It's like you were reading my life. Thank you for this post, it is very encouraging!!! My stall that occurred the 2 and 3 weeks had me really down at times. The scale and I can now only "see" each other weekly!

Good for you! I love it when people can "let go and let God" and not agonize over every stall and every poop! Congratulations on your realistic expectations.... I think that is as much a part of this whole thing as the loss of lbs....

I'm 5 weeks out and it hasn't exactly been a stall but it's like 1/2 every 5 days. Thanks for your post and I'll hope it picks up soon!
I was naturally doing about 650 until this past week and now I'm up to about 750/800.

I was sleeved (revision from band) on 4/27/15 and really struggled through the first 3 months feeling like it just wasn't happening for me! I am close to three and a half months post-op and wanted to share some things that plagued me the first few months. It gets better! I have finally hit a stride and feel like I will be successful after all!!
Tiredness/Fatigue: Weeks 2-8, I felt like crap. No energy. Naps were required! I really worried that THIS would be my life forever! It's really not. I had put my body through a LOT and it needed to catch up! Feeling great now! Stall: Yep, total HALT weeks 3-7! I worried that I had done all of this surgery for less than 30 pounds. I was so down about this! I stayed the course and now I am back to losing daily (ounces sometimes, but daily)! I am tucking this advice away for inevitable future stalls myself! Don't give up! scales LIE: My scale obsession is still alive and kicking but I no longer panic. The scale will not always reflect your body's changes. To combat this, measure yourself or notice the way clothes are fitting looser. For me, taking a full length photo of front and side views and using a photo app to put them side-by-side gave me proof I needed. Constipation: I was constantly trying different things to make me poop. I didn't have discomfort.... I just felt like I should be pooping more. Well, I decided to let my body work it out. I now poop once every 5 days. If I feel discomfort of course I will use Ducolax or SmoothMove Tea but I am not constantly focused on daily pooping. Water and Protein Goals: These are still a struggle and some days I can only do one and not the other. I try every but I no longer panic... I focus on these two things first and do the best I can. "Cheating": I have come to terms with my imperfection. I make every attempt to make wise choices, but I don't beat myself up about a bite of my son's chocolate bar... I used buy three of them and give him one! LOL Hang in there! It is worth it... YOU are worth it.

Sadly I haven't even told my family. All my co-workers know and they Celebrate every pound with me. My family is out of state so they will see me at Christmas, their jaws will drop and I will only say that I am on a high Protein and low carb lifestyle. That is all they need to know.
I am sorry that you don't have great support. Find a support group in your area and share. I go to one every month even though I have the support of my co-workers and my husband. It is nice to talk to people who are having the same issues. Maybe you can also be support for someone who has none.

I was sleeved on July 8th. My start weight pre op liquid diet was 310. My cw now is 278. The first 24 hours for me were the worst but once I was out of the hospital my recovery went great. As of now my incisions are almost healed, I am mowing the grass, running/walking around the local walking track at my house, and I feel wonderful! By far one of the best decisions I have ever made. My doctors have me eating semi soft foods right now such as baked potatoes, cottage cheese, sugar free pudding, eggs, and creamy Soups like Cream of chicken. Next week I can start having deli turkey or chicken, cheese, and toasted bread (I'm excited about making a sandwich!) No nausea either. A word of advice from me would to be to measure, measure, measure, and stick to the doc's orders. So far that has been the key to my success. Anyways thanks for listening!

    Thanks for the brain tweak
After reading through this thread, I went back to re-read the information my surgeon gave me to follow; and, as we all know, every surgeon's/NUT's plan is different. That being said, this is where I am at this point in my journey: Calorie range: 1,000-1,300 Protein: 70-100 grams Carbs: 60-100 grams
Exercise: walk 25 mins. on lunch break more days than not; cardio at gym at least 3 days/week; strength/toning at gym 2-3 days/week.
At this point, I feel I've found a "formula" that works for me in balancing food and activity/exercise and just daily life.
    PHASE 4: REGULAR DIET
    WEEK FIVE OR WHEN TOLERATED
The Second Month After Sleeve Gastrectomy Surgery (Start of Week 5 and Beyond…)
In the second month after surgery, begin to upgrade to regular foods as tolerated. If you do not tolerate regular foods, continue soft foods until you are ready to upgrade. Now, all food textures are permitted.
STILL AVOID CONCENTRATED SWEETS (simple sugars). As a rule, try to keep sugar out of the first 3 ingredients on the food label. The sugars found in milk and fruit are not considered simple sugars.
It is still necessary to take small bites and to chew foods well. Food should be almost liquid before you swallow. Try to chew each bite at least 20 times. Remember, dry or tough textures are harder to digest and may cause nausea or vomiting. Should vomiting occur, switch to Clear liquids at the next meal in order to rest the stomach.
It is recommended that all carbonated beverages still be avoided.
How Often Do I Eat? How Much Do I Eat? What Do I Eat?
Eat up to six ounces (3/4 cup) of regular foods three times per day. This will total 18 oz, or 2 ¼ cups of solid food daily. STOP EATING WHEN YOU FEEL FULL. Each day, 5-6 servings of Protein foods, 4 servings of vegetables, 4 servings of fruit and 6 servings of starch (Cereal, crackers or pasta) are recommended. Use fats sparingly. Try to eat your meals in this order: Protein first, then vegetables and fruits, and then whole grains.
You may now have 1-2 high protein Snacks per day in between meals. High protein Snacks include Protein shakes but now you have other options of high protein snacks. For optimum weight loss, try to keep your daily calorie intake between 1,000 and 1,300. Use the soft diet list of foods as a guide to portions. You may now include all foods that were not permitted on the soft diet. For example, raw fruits and vegetables are permitted, as well as rice and bread (toasted bread tends to be better tolerated).
REMEMBER, no fluids (liquids) for 30 minutes before eating solid foods. No fluids 30 minutes after eating solid foods.

I count them meticulously!!! I have zero carb Protein Powder I mix with almond milk with has 1/2 a carb in 8 oz. and for my meals I eat chicken, eggs, tuna, pork loin, ground chicken etc all that have very little to no carbs. The carbs I do get come from green veggies but I'm usually full from my 2-3 oz of lean meats so my carb intake is low. To which I contribute loosing 30lbs in 5 weeks Oh and there are a few carbs also in my Fiber gummies also but I have to have my fiber lol

Stop all artificial sweeteners they stop weight loss. Try eating 20 gms of Protein every 2-3 hours drink 3-4 liters of Water a day. Count carbs. Keep it under 20 if you can. Try and walk 30-60 min a day. Hills if you can find them. This got me out of my stall! I'm 6 weeks out down 30lbs from 207 to 177! These are just tips that got my stall to quit! Good luck Hun!

    Hi all,
Had my 10 day post op with my surgeon today! He said I was doing great, but needed to get more calories in. From my tracking on Fitness Pal, my days went from 240-380. He wants me to raise that before he gives the okay for me to start at the gym. And hopefully it help with the tiredness.

Only thing of my own that I used was my Eos (Chapstick) and a loose gown and slippers I wore home. Didn't even wear undies as I didn't want a band stretching Across my tummy. never used my phone- slept too much or didn't feel like being on it. If they won't let you eat ice chips, you can at least swish one around in your mouth and spit iT out.... Was my saving grace with the HORRIBLE cotton mouth I had. I wasn't allowed any drink for 24 hrs. Until my barium drink to cheCk for leaks. Best wishes!

I was basically told the same thing. Except the NUT told me to cut my food to the size of a pencil eraser and chew thourghly. Put the fork down between each bite and keep chewing. I'm at 7 weeks post op, and unable to eat more than 1.5 ounces per meal. It usually more like an ounce, of normal food. I can drink a bucket full of Water, but food fills me up so fast that I just give up. (Not that thats a bad thing ) I plan on just taking it day by day, and figure the food intake will increase with time. PS. 49 days post op, 47 lbs gone forever.

Is that two more weeks Clear Liquids? Or do you get to go to Protein Drinks with milk? I sorta cringed when I read what you wrote, cause I am with you, the Protein Drinks are cloyingly sweet. I keep playing over and over in my mind what would be a good taste....still stumped! I think I may forever hate the flavor "orange"! Glad to hear you had a good report from your doctor....and hope your dizziness is just the bp meds.
I was able to stop at three places (errands) and get my walk in, of course I feel like a drowned rat now, but I feel a real sense of accomplishment!
