  3. I am having surgery on 23/07 and started preparing myself about 6 weeks ago. As @@Daisee68 said, just start slow and change a few things, one by one, over the weeks. For me, that kept me focused and wasn't as full on as doing everything at once. Best of luck with your surgery date! Kate

  17. Just wanted to share this lovely broth recipe with you all, just in case you are sick of Protein drinks I have made this a few times and freeze the veg after draining the pan and save for the family to use. It really is tasty. It will be nice for after too. I am going to see if I can add unflavoured protein to it as well... I will let you know how that goes! 2 med onion skinned and finely chopped. 2 med carrot scrubbed and diced. 100g (2 oz) turnip scrubbed and diced. 100g (2 oz ) parsnip scrubbed and diced. 8 celery sticks washed and chopped. Cabbage. (the greener the better ) Mushrooms. (nice full flavoured ones) Tomatoes (full flavoured ones ~ vine are nice) Pepper Fry onions in a bit of Water, add veg and cover with water. Bring to boil and then simmer for 1 hr 30. Then I would strain the veg from the stock. Hugs Kate

  23. Goodness what a disappointing meeting! I'm not sure why they don't have a set price and why would it be £2,000 cheaper with the same group? It seems a big difference. I am paying £10,000 .. is that near to the price you know from the hospital further away? If you even the teeniest bit unsure then maybe looking around for another surgeon or bariatric group would put your mind at rest. Im so sorry Hugs Kate
  24. I swear by coconut oil for lots of things, especially dry skin. I never use aftersun anymore and I never peel. I have a thyroid issue and one side effect has always been dry skin. I used to spend a fortune on expensive heavy creams but now just pop along to the health food shop and buy natural raw coconut oil for under £5.00. It helps strengthen my nails, conditions my hair (only use a little!) and cleans my teeth instead of mouthwashes. Might be worth a try and it isn't expensive if you don't like it! Hugs Kate
  25. Wow thats such a landmark ~~ Congratulations ~~ !! Hugs Kate
