Congratulations on getting your date and making the decision of having WLS!! kate
  2. I am planning 3 weeks off. I get paid so that's not an issue and they know what I am having done and allowed me to take sick anyway. I have a busy job with lots of getting in and out of the car, dealing with emergencies and lots of stress so I feel I need the time off or I will go in and end up having to take more time off. I Will Be Bored Stiff Though Kate
  3. Congratulations @beuTwithin whohoooooo and so glad you are feeling better today. It's going to get better and better ~ Very Gentle Hugs ~ Kate
  4. Hello Hanna, Nice to meet you and well done with keeping up with all your programme meetings!! It’s a huge decision to make and I think if we are honest, most of us have nerves every now and again heading up to the operation. I haven't had my sleeve yet (its 1 week 5 days away) but I have had the feeling of my tummy turning occasionally when I have realised how near it is. Think about all the health benefits, you're young and want to be healthy. I'm older and wish I had thought of this years ago. I am not even thinking about negative things, it WILL work, I WILL keep to it and maintain, there’s no room for doubt…. just that little tummy turn every now and again. Take your time reading the forums, pal up with people here that you click with and YouTube can be a great place to see people talk about the ups and downs of WLS. I think everyone is honest about their own particular journey. Just remember this is your OWN journey. Hugs Kate
  5. Just a thought @@kjs1995 but why don't you just get involved in the fourums. That way you can help a lot of people instead of just the ones who message you Hugs Kate
  6. Congratulations ... Yayyyyy. So nice to hear things are going well for you. Rest, walk, sip sip sip, rest, walk, sip sip sip. ~Gentle Hug's~ Kate
  7. Be kind to yourself and rest in between walking and sip, sip, sipping. Have you tried ice to keep your mouth hydrated? Hope you feel beter soon! Hugs Kate
  8. You look beautiful and SO happy on your wedding day I bought a few books on what the stages are, however everyone seems to do it differently here. Have they not given you ANY information about how to prepare and what to do afterwards? Hugs Kate
  9. Congratulations ~~ Only 7 days to go! Have you had to do the pre op diet ? Kate
  10. Good luck with your sleeve and the wonderful life you will have in front of you! I have had plenty of those types of flights and it's not nice at all. Kate

  13. I did nearly buy chocolate on the way home from work for 'stress' relief until I remembered I couldn't and wouldn't. It did make me think though abut how many times I might have done that without even thinking. Kate
  14. Congratulations @KrstnC and @Sleevefornellie. I can feel a clothes shopping trip on the horizon for you both soon Hugs Kate
  15. "Then she says "I mean you WERE beautiful then but now.........now you are so much MORE beautiful." It was such a wonderful compliment and really brightened my mood on a very sad day. Now to continue on until I am a "normal" weight!!!" Loved this. Congratulations @2bullymom Keep on dropping that weight !! Hugs Kate
  16. Lol .. I laugh about most things and yes, it will get better and my friends will be able to come closer instead of me shouting
  17. Or am I just on Day 4 of the pre op diet. People were avoiding me today at work, I could see them recoil. I asked my closest work buddies, who I see out of work and they said my breath was okay. I'm sure I took off a couple of eyebrows and some facial hair from them. Gee wizz.. On the plus side I am being left alone to crack on with work lol Hugs A very smelly headachy Kate
  18. Congratulations @@MissersK and I LOVE this; I am looking forward to "eating to live" and not "living to eat". I am looking forward to being able to play with my niece, nephew, and step daughter without becoming winded or hurting all over.. I am looking forward to my new life Best wishes for tomorrow!!
  19. I had a dream last night that a big poached egg was chasing me down the road. I should stop reading the posts about food Kate
  20. @@littlebuddy213 Congrats and so glad everything went well ~ Gentle hugs ~ Kate
  21. Might be easier calling the airport and asking what their procedure is. Also get to the airport early in case of hold ups getting through security but I am sure you will be fine. On a side note, I was travelling from Israel to Jordon once on holiday and there was an older guy who was taken off to hospital to be x-rayed because he had had a hip replaced and he kept setting the alarms off. We had to wait 4 hours !! Oh how we laughed Good luck for the journey. Please let us know what happens. Kate
  22. Welcome to the forums @@Roully and nice to see someone else from the south of England ( I am in Wiltshire). I have my op on 23/07 in Dorset and can't wait. I am on the pre op liquid diet (day 2). Kate
