  1. Would be nice to join however 99% of my FB friends and family don't know about the surgery. Good luck Kate
  2. I have my pre op day in hospital tomorrow and hubby is coming with me, even though he's squirming about it even now lol (He's not very good on the medical side of things). I have had my bloods, urine and poop checked already through my GP so tomorrow is just meeting the team and seeing the private part of the hospital I will be in on the 23 of July 2015. Going tomorrow is making it all the more 'real'. I'm not sure I will sleep tonight. We are going out Saturday night to the theatre to see a play but before that we are off for a meal and champagne to Celebrate the start of a new journey in my and our life together. On Monday I start an 18 day pre op liquid only diet. I have been good recently, not over eating, not eating any rubbish and have lost a bit of weight already. I don't know if the feeling in my tummy is excitement or nerves. What did you do before the op to signal the start of a new journey, if anything and looking back is there something you had wished you had done? Suggestions please, after all I have four days of debauchery left ~~ Hugs ~~ Kate
  3. Have you spoken to the surgeon or team about this? Kate
  4. I was told no NSAIDs either and considering I have been taking Naproxen for the past two years on and off for a spine issue, im gutted as it worked so well. Kate
  5. @jane13 Thanks ! Good luck to everyone else. Life changing times ahead ~ hugs~ Kate
  6. I'm just sticking to replacement drinks. I know, I know, I am crackers. It's easier for me to just have 3 Meal Replacements than bits of food here and there, I find it easier and I can focus on other things rather than food. I start on the 6th of July. Beware, I am sure by day 3 you will hear me screaming in the Americas! Yup, totally do-lally. lol Kate

  22. Apparently the best time to weigh yourself is first thing in the morning after a wee. My weight is always about 4llbs difference. It doesn't really matter though, just make sure you weigh at the same time of the day and you will be able to map your weight loss Hugs Kate
