I'm 5'9" and have been at 172 for the past couple months. According to the chart I should be 165 for a "normal" range. I'm a size 10 and don't think I can get any smaller. My hip bones stick out. I have my nine month check up this month, hopefully my doctor thinks it's ok!! Maybe when I get my extra skin removed I will lose a few more pounds.
I had my surgery on June 27.

Good luck!!
With everything I have read I hope it gets better.
I'm from the western suburbs. Sleeved June 27 from the Kane center in Hoffman estates (Alexian Brothers) Best choice I ever made. Best of luck to everyone.
I am two weeks post op and couldn't be happier. I wanted to thank everyone on this site. For months I read and read, scared out of my mind. I don't think I could of gone through it without everyone's advice and experiences to people's questions!!
A comment never goes unread by someone.
I'm on day 5! It gets so much better. Broth is what I look forward too for dinner. Swanson makes flavored broths now. They are so good. Or I just strain a can of low sodium Soup. That adds a lot more flavor. good luck!
I had a meeting and a computer test. The computer consisted of 304 true or false questions. I laughed the whole time!! The computer questions are absolutely ridiculous!! The psychologist was really nice and asked just general questions about my mood, family and support. I think they just want to make sure you are not depressed and are doing this for the right reasons. I was extremely nervous. If you have a computer test don't sit and think, just answer
Chicago Western suburbs?
Hopefully next week I will get a surgery date!! So excited anyone else in the same process? Every time I'm like ehhh I look at this app and it helps take the nerves away. It's nice too know other people going through the same process.
Very scary but very exciting.
