  1. I was sleeved on July 7. I am fine if I stick to protein drinks, mousse, water and other liquid type foods. I tried scrambled egg whites last week and again yesterday. Both times, I ended up throwing up. Don't know if I just can't take eggs or just not ready for them yet. I can go to bed okay, but around 3 or 4 I wake up with belching, reflux and have to move to a recliner. The results of the eggs make me hesitant to try a different regular food.

  9. I was banded in 2005 and lost 100+ lbs when in 2011 the band slipped and was opened up. By the time it was replaced with another band, I had regained 50 lbs. On July 7, I had the band Converted to a sleeve. I would not have been prepared for some of the things that have happened to this date without my readings on Barriatricpal. The gaining a few lbs the first couple of days, the painful incisions, the ache in my shoulder fronm the gas. This is to say thank you to everyone that shares on this website. I look forward to my continuing journey and the support offered by the website.

  12. A shadow of your former self. Terrific
  13. Thanks, all prayers are welcome. My Doctor is Allen Alvarez in San Antonio.
  14. I have had the band for about nine years. It literally saved my life as I have lost over 100 lbs. However, I have thrown up a lot during those 10 years. I have a revision to gastric sleeve tomorrow, good luck to you.
  15. Sounds like you are doing great, probably water gain.
  16. Revision from band to sleeve on July 7
  17. Good luck to you, tomorrow is my day

  22. I don't think anyone needs to know other than close friends and immediate family.. Just my opinion
  23. Had the Lap band in 2004 and will convert to the sleeve on July 7. The band literally saved my life and I am optimistic that the sleeve will improve my life even more.

  25. I got banded in 2004, it slipped and I had a new band put in in 2010. I started with the first band at 425 lbs. I have been as low as 285 but have held steady at 310 for the last couple of years. I spoke with Dr. Allen Alvarez in San Antonio and told him about throwing up nearly every day and the clogged feeling that was much too prevalent. He suggested converting to the sleeve and I started doing my homework. I will have the sleeve conversion on July 7. Thanks to everyone that contributes to this site as it has been a big factor in helping to get to this place.
