My surgery is this coming Thursday at 1 PM. My doctor says you will go home same day by 5PM.

I am not sure how I am going to take care of myself especially that I read everyone stays at least two nights at the hospital.

Did anyone have the same situation? I really feel lost and don't know what to do.

I think most people stay one night. Some stay two, and some go home that same evening. Talk to your surgeon about your concerns. I didn't go home that first night, but would have been perfectly capable of doing so. I didn't need any help with anything, and would have been able to sleep better!

I can stay three nights but if I feel okay they have said I can go after two. As @@Bufflehead said chat to your surgeon and ask if there are otins for you to stay if you feel you need to. Best wishes and I hope everything goes well

I think it depends on the surgery and how well you recover. Right now, my surgeon and I plan on me going home the day of surgery. However, I also have a back up plan if I need to stay.
