  4. Who is your surgeon? My surgery went really well. I am 3 months out now and 48 pounds lighter! It was the best decision I have made in a very long time and I'd do it again in a heartbeat. You'll do great. Good luck!
  5. I live in lower Delaware. Dr. Peters did my surgery 3 months ago.

  7. Thanks for all the advice. I have naturally curly hair that has been the bane of my existence all my life. Picture going through high school in the early '70's when long straight parted in the middle hair was the trend. No blow dryers yet or flat irons. Always wanted straight hair.

  10. I loose weight very slowly also. I am 57 and my metabolism before surgery was shot. I have found that if I limit my calories to 800 per day, I lose weight. To do that, I am still relying heavily on protein shakes. I use AdvantEdge chocolate fudge shakes. They taste good, have 17 grams of protein, and are 110 calories. Hope this helps.
  11. I'm 2.5 months post gastric sleeve surgery and I'm losing a lot of hair when I shampoo. Any advice?

  15. I'm so sick of chocolate protein shakes after 3 weeks of liquid. Any suggestions? I'm drinking some milk and broth.
  16. I was just sleeved one week ago by Dr. Peters in Wilmington, but I live in lower Delaware. Anyone live near Georgetown?

  19. Where do you get the surgery countdown graphic?
  20. I have thrush. Should I check with my surgeon before starting meds for this problem? It's a recurring thing for me so I already have a prescription.

  22. I was sleeved June 16th and my back has been more painful than usual. Glad to hear it will maybe get better over time. Can't wait until I can go back to my chiropractor.

  24. My date is the next day on June 16th. I too am nervous, and after 6 months of classes and doctor visits I can't believe it's finally here.
