I've been really open about my surgery, so far as to blog about it and post it on my Facebook page. My goal is to end the stigma of "taking the easy way out." I figure I have nothing to hide, nothing to be ashamed of. I am doing something huge for health, and if that makes others think differently of me, then see ya! Here's a link if you're interested. Has anyone considered blogging about their journey? I've always found writing to be a great outlet, especially blogging, since it has the potential to reach others who can relate. I was thinking about maybe vlogging as well? My goal is too provide a straight-forward, blunt look at the good, the bad and the ugly of this process. Let me know if you are doing something similar! I'm sleeving October 14 in Michigan and I'm new to the forum. Would love to connect with you all!

My consultation is next week, my endo and psych will be scheduled after that, and we're tentatively scheduling for the second week of October. After looking at my friend's before and after pictures, I'm beyond excited! Anyone else sleeving in October? How about in Michigan? With my insurance, my BMI qualifies me to have the surgery without jumping through so many hoops, but that means I can't lose any weight before my final weigh in. Since I enjoy working out, this is a struggle, but it's worth it! Anyone know how long it usually takes to be able to get back to working out post-op?
