  1. 1. Steak: 23g per 3oz serving over to the next person
  2. Not sure where anyone said they were awesome. I answered a question with the truth. Does that really make me self righteous or does it make me a person who took the surgery serious and for ME that meant I stuck to the plan especially in the early months. I certainly wasn't judging. ?
  3. They are still quite swollen in that recent photo but perfect now they have settled down. Ian Whitworth was the surgeon. I had 5 procedures done at the same time and he did them all. Very gifted man!
  4. No. Never once. Never ever. I do hope you feel okay. Kate
  5. It might just be changes in taste. I loved tea before surgery, I was a complete tea-oholic but after even the smell put me off. I would have to walk away if someone had tea, it turned my stomach.
  6. Heartfelt post, thank you for sharing.
  7. You look amazing and I can tell you 'feel amazing' in your posts. Well done, <hugs> kate P:s: You are an inspiration
  8. Wow. You look amazing!! Keep up the good work ?
  9. Well done you! Keep up the good work .. you look great!!
  10. Congratulations and what a beautiful smile !!
  11. Congratulations!! You look amazing and must feel it too
  12. I had a great social life before and have a great social life now. It hasn't changed a bit (very early days I just used to go out with family and friends who knew what I had had done though). Life is there to live and don't care what others say. Congratulations on the weight loss !!
  13. Exciting for you !! Best wishes for the surgery and a speedy recovery. Don't forget, walk, walk, walk, sip, sip, sip, rest rinse and repeat. Kate
  14. I had a BMI of 39.6 (238 lbs) when I started this process. My surgeon suggested that I get down to 160 but I still felt that was too heavy for me, I am 5 ft 5. I'm now 135 so I have lost 103 lbs. It's good to have a goal in mind but just keep it 'fluid' if you want to. I have gone up and down a couple of pounds here and there and then lost it the next week/day.
  15. Whoohooooooooooooo Congratulations! I will save you a seat on the losers bench
  16. I was told that I didn't need to buy expensive bariatric vitamins and to use a good chewable one initially and have it in tablet form when I wanted to. I am 18 months out and my bloods have always been tip top. Just as a side note, my spell checker changes bariatric to barbaric
  17. I do spring clean the house and garage thoroughly each year, note down any jobs that need to be done for when spring/summer is here. I go through all the books I have read the past year (I am an avid reader) and take them to the charity shop (Two boxes this year). I do the same with clothes/shoes I don't think I will wear the next winter. Last week I went through all my photographs (yup I'm old enough to have had to have photos developed and not just put on a computer) and have sorted out some albums for my adult children. They will get them with their Xmas presents this year. They don't know about it and I think it will be a nice surprise.
  18. Congratulations and speedy recovery! Hold a pillow over the tummy area for when you cough (If you get enough warning you are about to cough that is!)
  19. I have noticed a few like that recently. Sad really.
  20. Contact your surgeon, no one here can guess that.
  21. Hmmm he's talking of doing the sleeve then next year the bypass if that's what you want? Seems a bit of a red flag to me. I would get a second opinion.
  22. A home made book of < owe's>... massage, romantic meal, planned day out just the two of you, a loving note left for him daily for one week... a night of sensual adult fun and on and on... Much better than chocolate
  23. I am off on holiday in 5 weeks and have just downloaded this book to read whilst I am away. Just keeping an eye on this thread!
