  1. @@jesstea2 It was about 4pm, I came back up about 7.30 and was walking up and down the corridor at 9pm. I stayed in bed and slept most of the first night, in between nurses checks.
  2. I did a 18 day (my choice, the 18 days, I was supposed to do 14) liver cleansing diet required by my surgery team. I can't remember how much I lost as I have never noted down how much I have lost and when. I have no idea what I lost the first week, first month, etc etc, I have just kept my eye on the total loss. I know my scales and the hospital scales gave a different weight loss so I just focus on what my scales at home say.
  3. You may find that being busy and stressed that you have lost. Like the others say, get weighed and find out. Then be super strict for the next two days. If you have put on and you explain, I am sure they will be sympathetic. Just work harder for the next weigh in. Good Luck
  4. Not to be a downer or anything but just be aware that your taste may change after surgery and you might just want it room temperature rather than very cold. I know your surgery is soon Dub, so best of luck and speedy recovery!!
  5. For one night: Loose clothes to go home in. Something to read (such as magazines, which you can just pick up and put down in between walking, sipping, sleeping, walking sipping) Gas-x strips Soap, toothpaste and toothbrush. Nightwear/underwear I stayed 3 nights and 4 days and so in addition I took and found helpful: Kindle Face wipes Lip Balm Phone and charger Shampoo and body wash 3 x nightwear I spent most of the time in between the walking etc either in bed sleeping or watching tv/reading or being checked over by the health professionals, especially in the first day. My husband brought a pillow to put over my tummy so the seat belt didn't dig in for the drive home. Otherwise the hospital provided everything else I wanted. Best wishes for the surgery in November
  6. I am 10 weeks out and have gone from 44DD to 38D. I bought one bra when I was down to a 40 not even thinking I would need to go down a bra size again so soon. I was lucky as the sales are on here and got a nice decent bra at 80% off.
  7. @@marcy0912 How is your hubby feeling now?
  8. I'm ten weeks out and used to be a tea drinker.. now I crave coffee so have had a couple of cups this week, when I have been out for dinner. I surpass my liquids every day so feel okay having a cup of coffee every now and again. As for it increasing hunger, I haven't had any at all other than head hunger and that seems to be at a minimum now. I really believe in following the plan of your team however it's realistic to understand all the facts and make an informed choice yourself, using a ton of common sense.
  9. Even talking tired me out... hubby thought it was great, I don't think I have ever been so quiet lol ! He's been through a huge operation and now on minimum calories. Rest and sip sip sip, then walk walk walk, sip sip sip. Also the tube they put down my throat made me cough a lot and id be breathless from that too. It should get easier soon ☺ Congratulations on the surgery and speedy recovery !
  10. @@byebyefat I have gone from.a 44DD to a 38D and I am only 10 weeks out. I would love to be a 34C.

  12. Face arms and boobs..
  13. I'm 10 weeks out now and my weekday is usually like this ... Breakfast My Protein hot latte in 20oz Water. lunch is fish/meat with veg/salad Afternoon I have a protein drink in 4 oz water. dinner meat/fish with veg 30 minutes before bed I have a slow release protein drink which isn't my fave but it's doing the job! Kate
  14. I have avoided carbs too and try to stick to under 20 a day.. Sometimes I manage under 10. I do carb cycling at weekends and try to stick to under 50. It works for me ????
  15. Congratulations on the surgery. You sound as if you have it in the bag so well done on that... wishing you a speedy recovery ????

  19. I am not sure if this helps as I didn't have the issues before. I haven't had either issue afterwards although I have been very constipated and thats a pain in the arse Congratulations on your surgery date!!

  21. I loved having a little bit of a GasX strip. The intense taste kept my mouth sweet for quite a while after @@mouse1972rb Congrats on the surgery and wishing you a very speedy recovery !! Kate
  22. Best item you can buy is a good set of scales. I also bought lots of little containers which hold 3oz portions/5 oz portions which I still use now, both in and out of the house. I bought pretty little china plates, the size of side plates for home, nice small cups for the odd cup of tea/coffee I have and 20oz Fluid beakers. One of the best things I got, was deep set ice cube trays. They have been a blessing! I didn't want to use plastic baby cutlery, so hunted down a nice kids size cutlery set with knives which actually cut thicker items of food, such as meat. I have to admit, shopping for things for post op kept me busy during the weeks leading up to surgery and kept the excitement up! Kate
  23. Wow congratulations on the weight loss!!
