  1. 1 scoop vanilla Protein powder 1 cup milk (I use Lactaid as my tummy is sensitive to dairy) 1 tbsp pb 3 small slices banana, frozen Blend! So good. Could do with chocolate powder too.
  2. I needed a pulmonary clearance which consisted of breathing into a spirometer and getting a chest x Ray. I assume I had no issues because I was cleared for surgery.
  3. Hello there and thanks for sharing , I guess I will know when the moment comes. Relieved to know that if everything seems ok they will not send me home with one as a standard thing. How are you feeling? Xxx I'm feeling pretty good! Just tired and a little muscle pain but nothing unbearable! Thanks for asking
  4. I was discharged without one. I have no idea how they determined I didn't need it though. I think it has to do with the amount of fluid output. It may also depend on your surgeon.
  5. Yes in my right leg. I have tingling in my thigh. I think it's from how I slept post surgery.
  6. Anyone else have trouble sleeping after surgery? I wake up multiple times per night but am constantly tired. Has anyone tried melatonin?
  7. So many great ideas!!
  8. If you are that depressed please please please go to your nearest emergency room or call 911! I cannot even imagine what it is like to lose over 100 pounds - you're amazing!! You've got this. Everyone stalls at some point. Just keep following the plan and you'll be fine. Thinking of you! ❤️❤️
  9. Pre-op was boring - bring a book! I saw the medical doctor, the anesthesiologist, the surgeon and got my blood taken. I was also sent to the pulmonologist for a lung function test the next day. Basically just lots of questions. Nothing too bad at all. It's just your final clearance before surgery. And I know, small world! Everyone on the unit was great in terms of being taken care of.
  10. I had mine done there with Dr. Kroh. I had a pretty great experience!
  11. It took me 5 days to have one but yeah def call the doctor if you don't go soon!
  12. I use a Nutribullet and then let mine sit!
  13. I'm on puréed foods now too and it is amazing!! Baby food is so good!
  14. Walk as soon as you can!!
  15. I wouldn't do clear liquids for 5 days. Liquids sure but clear liquid usually means no protein which is what your body needs! I was only on clear liquids for a day, which was the day before my surgery.
  16. My clear liquids were water, juice, broth, sugar free Popsicles and Gatorade. I think they say no red or purple so it's not mistaken for blood during the surgery.
  17. I had leg compression booties and blood thinners. If you walk enough you should also have a reduced risk.
  18. What's your question? Everyone is friendly and here to help!
  19. I have been craving some weird things too: eggs, meatballs, beets and asparagus. My guess is I am missing a nutrient found in one of these foods.
  20. Sugar free Popsicles, a variety of proteins, water bottle, pillows. In the hospital the only things I needed were lip balm and my phone/headphones.
