  1. I have bcbs of IL & have no requirements at all. Just the surgeons requirements. Waiting for an approval then a date!! I think it varies by employers also.

  4. I know for Insurance reasons there are different requirements however my only concern is I already had my chest xray, ultrasound, bloodwork & physc eval. I am reading alot about people having to do upper GI's or sleep evaluations, swallow tests etc. Im having it at the 4th best hospital in the nation Im just concerned why I dont need those tests as well. I have one more meeting with surgeon then they will schedule my surgery .
  5. That makes me feel so much better!! He is the surgeon I am meetng with. How long was your stay. Anything you can tell me would be great. Im so nervous.

  7. HELP!! Had all my pre-op testing done today & meet with the surgeon in two wks. My Insurance has no requirements so they said I will most like have my surgery in November. I need help to decide which one I want to go with.
  8. Ok so im trying to figure this out on my phone. I want to hear from post opp patients. I have my screening/evaluations Oct 4th and im very excited and nervous all at the same time. I need positive outcomes!! I keep reading and hearing how dangerous this can be..please help! I really want to go through with this.
