Stalls?
I weigh myself every morning and log the data in a spreadsheet. It is the primary feedback in a complicated system that I'm trying to control. I don't obsess over a reading or two as they are not statistically relevant by themselves. However, I can use a collection of data points to detect long term trends.

Dehydration Question
I'm worried about the same thing. Right now I can consume the entire 64 ounces from my camel back while doing a 7 mile walk.

20 lbs down on liquid diet pre-op
Good for you! I'm worried about the 2 week pre-op liquid diet. I'm close to my surgery weight goal already. I keep telling myself that if I tough it out then I'll be that much closer to my final goal. I've been doing a lot of walking. I wonder if I should cut back while on the liquid diet.

Post-Op check in! Sleeved 5/26/15
Sounds like you're doing good. I read that you may not feel hungry for a while after surgery. Be sure to keep hydrated. I'll be in your shoes in a little more than 3 weeks.

Impatiently waiting...June sleevers?
@@work2Bskinny If you weren't doing a high protein low carb diet before the liquid diet your headaches may be caused by your body entering ketosis. Basically going from a glucose (sugar) based metabolism to a ketone (fat) based metabolism. If all goes well they should subside soon. Good luck!

Great work!- What do you ride?
I don't ride anymore but back in the old days I had a 1983 KZ440. I still have my leather jacket. Maybe I'll fit into it again some day.- how do I edit my ticker?
I always use the "Together we have lost" at the bottom otherwise my tickers get out of sync with my side bar.- Real Food, Real Weightloss, Still Delicious
@@Tanika81 I don't remember seeing that recipe in this thread. I've made pasta free lasagne in the past. There are many recipes that use zucchini in place of noodles. These typically soak zucchini slices in salt water to draw out excess moisture then patted dry before use. Eggplant works good too. I recently ran across this lasagne casserole recipe that uses spaghetti squash. http://uprootfromoregon.com/2015/02/04/spaghetti-squash-lasagna-casserole/- Body Mass Visualizer

@@Shustar You are very welcome. Good luck with your surgery!- Body Mass Visualizer
I recently did a google search for photos of people with various body mass numbers so I could get a better idea on what I should target. I ran across this interesting web site that generates a simulated front and side view of a man or woman. Simply enter gender, age, height, and weight then press calculate bmi. You can then drag a slider up or down to simulate a lower or higher BMI. I found it helpful. http://bmijs.is.tuebingen.mpg.de/en/body_masses/get_data- What made you finally want Weight Loss Surgery?
@@Djmohr That's a great question. I'd certainly bring that up with your spinal surgeon. My triple fusion surgery was 17 months ago. (Where did that time go!) It took about a year before the bones were finished growing. My sleeve surgery isn't until next month so I didn't have to heal those bones while calorie restricted. Your surgeon might want to adjust your supplemental nutrients while you heal. My sister is having a disc replaced with an artificial disc next month. I hope you both do well and get some relief.- Favorite protein shake blender

Great! I'm scheduled for June-22 in Tijuana. I've been busy preparing for post-op. I've stocked up on Clear liquids such as: beef and chicken broth, Crystal Lite, Green tea, Vitamin Water Zero, sugar free Jello. I plan to make my own sugar free popsicles. I've tried several different Protein shakes. I purchased a Nutri-Bullet to puree foods. And I've got a couple different kinds of bariatric Vitamins. Good luck!- Pre-op advice
For pre-op Protein I'm using Premier Protein shakes (from Costco), unjury Protein powder, and EAS Complete Protein powder. You may like something different than what others like. Try samples if you can so you don't end up with a lot of expensive protein that you don't like. People say that your tastes may change after surgery. What you like now may not be what you like after surgery. As for post-op, I'm stocking up on various things people have recommend. chicken broth, beef broth, crystal lite, Vitamin Water zero, sugar free Jello, sugar free pudding, green tea. I picked up a nutr-bullet so I can puree food when I get to that stage. Good luck!- Prilosec?
Please ask your pharmacist before cutting ANY prescription pill in half (or chewing, crushing, etc). If it's a time released pill you will get a large dose all at once which can be very dangerous.- Surgery 10 days ago. Now dealing with internal infection.
