Will I continue to take my rather large capsule following surgery?

I did and continue to take it at six months post-op. I took all my medications right after surgery with a small sip of Water.

I did too. My surgeon only gave me pills post-op. Nothing liquid. I never had a problem taking any of them. They slide down pretty easy with a sip of water.

What about medicines for type I diabetes like glucophage? Those pills are pretty big...cut in half maybe?

Please ask your pharmacist before cutting ANY prescription pill in half (or chewing, crushing, etc). If it's a time released pill you will get a large dose all at once which can be very dangerous.

My advice would the same as above. I was on Kombiglyze prior to surgery for diabetes. It's a 24 hr extended release tablet. These type of meds can't be crushed or cut.
