  1. I've had the same problem ever since I went to a low carb high protein diet. I'm still pre-op so I'm taking Metamucil. I'll have to adjust my strategy for post-op. I take probiotics daily but the problem persists.
  2. @@Mp1409 My surgery is the day before yours.
  3. Unjury sells a sample pack that includes two servings of several flavors including chicken. The kit also includes a shaker bottle and a thermometer. (You don't want to get your liquid too hot or the protein will congeal like an egg)
  4. I wouldn't be on mine. I'm on day 10. Unjury has a chicken soup flavored protein mix. I haven't tried it yet but others seem to like it.
  5. Yeah there's a lot of wishy washy entries in Myfitnesspal. That being said, food is naturally going to vary quite a bit just like the calories you burn in a day. I think it's a good habit to log food and physical activity. If you stall or start to go up you can take a look at your data and formulate a course correction. I don't obsess over it. I just try to remember to get it all documented.
  6. Yeah, I don't even bother pushing that button anymore.
  7. I'll be there in a week!
  8. Only 1 fried egg? Ridiculous!
  9. I've used some EAS complete protein. My favorite is Premier Protein shakes. Unjury is very popular plus they sell a sample collection.
  10. Congrats! Congrats!
  11. Glad they caught it early. Good luck with the surgery and recovery!
  12. Unjury has a chicken soup flavored protein mix.
  13. I also prefer Premier Protein shakes. Costco has a good price. It's available in my local Costco as well as online. I like all 3 flavors. I like not having to mix powders.
  14. That's great. I tried to get upgraded to a fancy machine but they wouldn't do it unless my machine was broken. I need to reduce my pressure just on my pre-op weight loss. I hope I can get off it altogether some day.
  15. @@lisemaria I'd be happy to support you. Feel free to ask questions. There are many great folks on this site.
  16. I have BCBS and it specifically says that bariatric surgery is not covered. I'm being sleeved in Mexico in a few more days for just a little bit more money than what my out of pocket maximum would have been even if they covered this surgery. Good luck!
  17. I don't drink soda myself but my liquid diet allows sugar free sodas.
  18. I'm being sleeved on the 22nd. I'm a bit nervous but I know I'll be better off once I get my weight down. I'm currently on day 4 of the liquid pre-op diet. Looking forward to being past this stage.
  19. I know what you mean. I did buy some of their products but also other products as well. I've tried Premier Protein shakes (my favorite), EAS complete protein powder, Gold standard protein powder, Unjury protein powder. I also bought some Opurity bariatric vitamins. I also take a few vitamins from Costco.
  20. Good luck! I'm being sleeved by Dr. Ariel Ortiz on June-22.
  21. There are many things that drive me crazy about MFP.
  22. That's nuts! Definitely shop around. I'm self pay and am being sleeved at the OCC in Mexico on the 22nd. Good luck!
  23. @@mespo Good luck! You're going to do great!
