  1. It's very frustrating! ! I feel like I want to eat, (but without any hunger)- then eat a few mouthfuls - and I feel stuffed!! I should be rejoicing at my constant and steady weight loss- however, I worry that I'm not getting all my fluids and protein in
  2. I had my sleeve surgery June 22. No real problems- however, I am finding it increasingly difficult to get all my required liquids in.I am sipping vitamin water xxx zero ( which I like alot) but after a few sips I feel uncomfortably full. Eating is a chore, too.I have found that even 1/4 cup or 3 tablespoons of something makes feel so full... however, I LOVE and can tolerate 1 cup of yoghurt. Greek yohurt, and regular . Anyone else has similiar issues?

  5. I had my surgery June 22, and have( had no complications.I have lost 11 lbs since then. My concern is that I have absolutely no appetite and sometimes forget to eat ( and drink) ...I have to force myself to keep up with protein intake and water this last week!! I feel so full after only a few bites/ sips. Although I am so happy that I am never hungry anymore, I also am a bit worried if this lack of appetite is normal.I have been using protein shakes twice a day (as meal relacements) so I know I'm getting at least 40 grams of protein - fluids are much easier to take than small amounts of soft food. I find eating is a bit of a chore now!!! Anyone else experiencing the same things?? ( When I eat-1/4 cup of SOFT food, I eat slowly but I still feel like I have to force myself to eat, .I do like sugar free jello, and that's about the only "solid" food that goes down easily)

  7. I,too, love watching " My 600 Ib Life" .. whenever I feel tempted to cheat- helps me stay on track!! FYI- the British version of this is : "Fat Doctor" (you can watch full length episodes on you tube)
  8. Countdowntosleeve and handymannynyc1, I ,too started the liquid protein diet (on June 6).Having sleeve on June 22. Doing this preop liquid diet definately is no walk in the park, but not as difficult as I thought it would be! I think we need to be very proud of ourselves for having the motivation and disipline to do this !! A tip: whenever I feel weak willed and want to "cheat" , I watch "My 600 Ib Life", or "Fat Doctor" online!

  13. Hi, my name is Lisa and I , too am an RN ( for 35 years). I am having gastric sleeve on June 22 and am 5 days into my liquid diet. It's not easy, especially since I work nights (3-4 nights/week ) - but I keep the long term goal always in mind!! ( I'm 5'3 and currently weigh 200 Ibs- have lost 5 Ibs so far on this preop diet )
  14. I'm also scheduled for gastric sleeve June 22 and would love to be a support pal
  15. Hi,I'm having sleeve gastrectomy on June 22 and was wondering g if there is anyone in the Midcoast region (Bath/ Brunswick area) of Maine who is also getting sleeved this month , or has recently had it done...
  16. Hi TxCalico, I'm 60 and need to lose 70 Ibs... Having sleeve gastrectomy on June 22!! And YES!!! It's totally worth doing it at our age!! Think of how good you'll feel and how much healthier you'll be afterwards!! That's what motivates me to have this done (even at our age)
  17. Are there any savory protein drinks/ meal replacements? I'm getting so sick of the chocolate /Vanilla,etc. Shakes!!
