canes2015 got a reaction from insideout629 in Cruise
    Hi everyone,
Got back from the cruise! I am 2 1/2 month post op.
Let me start with the abundance of food was not the problem at all. I was never hungry. Nor did it bother me seeing others EAT!!!
Since I was afraid of dumping or not tolerating the food I was basically eating tuna salad, cheeses, Soups, crackers, and my Premier Protein shake.
Whenever my family and I dined in their specialty restaurants I would order Soup. Like I said I do hav issues chewing and tolerance of the food.
I went thru NCL and I brought in 2 cases of Water and a case of my liquid Protein Shake. Always got off with my portable cooler that had Water, tuna kits, shakes, and a banana.
    And lost 2 pounds!!!
Hope this helps for those of u cruising so soon after surgery.

I regretted (03/31/15) mine the day I got home from hospital. I second guessed myself and cried myself to sleep.
Today am happy I did the surgery. Am still getting used to the post surgery process. But all worth it!

I had surgery with a weight of 240 after the diet.
My rny was fine at first but I started having complications. To this day we aren't sure what caused them, but after four months in and out of the hospital I had my surgery reversed and had gastric sleeve instead. It's very rare to do this but this was my surgeons suggestion.
My first surgeon was a total jerk and was very unsupportive. It was a tough experience and very scary. I had two pic lines and went days without eating or drinking.
After my sleeve surgery, my major complications stopped, but I have never been able to transition to solids. My sleeve surgery was March 2015 and I've never had a full meal.
I found a new surgeon who has diagnosed me with a stricture and scar tissue in the spot they reconnected my pouch from the rny with the new sleeve stomach. He has done one dilation on me but it did not help. He wants to continue the dilations.
The ironic thing is that he says if the dilations don't work, I may have to go back to rny. So I'm 123 pounds at 5'6 and still losing about two pounds per week. I can't seem to settle on a weight loss goal and I'm terrified of entering maintainence.
On the positive side, because this post is not in any way intended to be negative towards this surgery- I have never looked or felt better. I feel amazing in my new body. I love the way I look now. I Celebrate this body by dressing up and buying clothes and enjoying a dating life and a social life I would never have had otherwise. My confidence is through the roof. My back pain is gone and I have more energy for my kids and life in general. This surgery have my my life back and released me from the chain of a food addiction.
I would do it again in a second!!!! Again and again. Because guess what? Nothing tastes as good as thin feels. Period.
I hope my story helps you in your journey. I highly recommend this surgery, it is a wonderful tool that can give you the leverage you need to lose weight and the truth is the vast majority of people do not have complications. I would do it again in spite of mine and I'm happy to answer any questions anyone has for me.
Here are some photos of me. I haven't had any plastic surgery and don't plan to.

If u go into their website, every item is broken down. It gives u calories, Protein, fat, carbs, etc..
Example...I have the Carroat and its 91 calories. The huge brownie is 125 calories with 25 Protein.
They do not use white flour, either.
I have half the brownie (warmed up) with yogurt and its Great!

    Hi everyone!
Today I started Purée Phase. I was excited this morning, but it's so hard to eat slowing. My nurse told me to get a baby spoon that that would help me with bite size!
I had stage 2 baby food with seasoning and my pouch hurts a little. A friend told me its because I ate it too fast! Don't know how much slower I am going to eat.
Had cottage cheese for Breakfast and super hard to chew it to applesauce texture.
    How should I proceed!
    Thanks

Hi everyone, today I had 1 week follow up. Down 8 pounds total 18 pounds
I am still bloated was hoping by now it would have gone down. Lots of gasses and walking on my treadmill to free the gases.
My doctor told me I should have been at 100 oz of Water by now and of course I am not. Please!!!! It's not as easy as they say.
Will take day by day. Little by little trying to improve on my liquids and food.
Hope everyone is having a great day!
