Go get um!! You deserve to be the best you can be!!!! and fit in a size 6!!!
I'll be looking for you to post tomorrow. and the next day, and the next....

Also when you have stressed the stomach around the band(over eating or BP's) it is always a good idea to go back to full liquids for at least 24 hour.
-
Everyone has stretched their stomach, banded or unbanded. It has that ability. But just because you can doesn't mean you should. Luckily it has the ability to shrink too.
The 5 day pouch test is a good way to help you get control of what you are putting in your mouth. If you stick to it you will start to get the 'feeling' you need to know when you are satisfied at meals. That is what you are after NOT feeling full. If you are feeling full you eat too much.
I would suggest keeping a food journal. Write EVERYTHING that goes into your mouth. It keeps you accountable and makes you aware of exactly what and how much you are eating. It's a pain but how badly do you want to lose this weight?
Good luck

I knew losing weight would mean my skin would become loose. I was not prepared for the resulting sounds that came with it.
I am disgusted by what I hear when I'm working out. The skin of my stomach is slapping against itself. Today my trainer asked if the noise he was hearing was from my knee. Was it popping? I said yes, finished the session and almost ran out of the gym. I was so embarrassed.
I want to cry, but I know exercise is the only was to get rid of the weight.

All my planning for the cruise was for not. I actually gained 7 pounds. Good news is that I have also lost it. (I think a lot of the pounds were water weight from traveling) So Im back to pre vacation weight.
I also returned with a cold(explains the weight loss). So working with the trainer is out until Friday.
I think I will go have some soup.
-
Hi
I think you are doing GREAT!! Yep you can eat more soup then beans. But look at the calories, probably about the same or less for the soup.
It's wonderful that you have a plan for your downtime. A lot of folks find themselves snacking when bored.
How are you doing with exercise? I personally think that is the key to puzzle of weight loss. Just get moving.
I have Navy in my family too. Mom, brother and an Uncle.
Give that husband of yours a great big hug for keeping us safe and free!!
Have that husband of yours give you a super big hug for facing life's challenges head on.
Good luck with your journey.

Yep it will pass. Your body, inside and out, is healing so give it time. Look at your scars. When they are all healed is when you will be feeling your old self again.
Get some sleep. Dream about all the great stuff you will be doing in your new body.
Hugs!!

I leave Saturday for my cruise to Bermuda.(this is the trip my wonder DH surprised me with for all my hard work with the band) I'm packed and ready. I absolutely LOVE cruises. Bonus it departs from a port only 40 minutes away, so no airport nightmares.
I've packed work out clothes, running shoes, couch 2 5k podcasts and signed up for two rather active land excursions. A mountain biking tour of the island and a kayak tour of the sea coast. So I think I will be staying on track with exercise.
I am worried about all the wonderful food. I will have to be at the top of my game when it comes to menu choice and not being tempted by the between meals snacking. Then there's the booze. I have a 1:2 plan, for every cocktail I drink I will have to drink 2 glasses of water.
I think pre-planning will be the key to not gaining on vacation. Dare I dream to perhaps lose?:frown:

Good move. I hate reading about folks that wait too long and then have to be completely unfilled.
Keep up the great work!!
-
Relax. for me the band seems tighter when I'm stressed.
My nutritionist/trainer suggested I drink some aloe vera juice. It is a natural anti-inflammatory. I have yet to because I haven't been so tight I couldn't get something down.
Feel better.
-
So true. Sometimes I just say away from the boards cause I get pissed at the whining.
-
Looks good. Great way to refocus on your goal.
-
Exercise has made all the difference on my journey.
Good luck and have fun!!

I did my first triathlon this morning. I finished and wasn't even dead last.
The Band has really made this dream come true for me.
-
Ahh Geeze, feel better.

My Dr required an overnight stay. I didn't need to stay, I was fine and had help at home.
The insurance co. is another matter. They did not OK the overnight stay and are not going to pay of it. Dr and Ins are fighting it out.
I'm seeing more and more on LBT how folks are not staying over.
The final say is your Dr.
Good Luck on your journey.

I was just looking at my signature line. I have the counter for my weight(of course) plus the count-downs for my trip to Bermuda and the Triathlon.
I realized that A: the trip is a gift to me from my husband for taking the steps necessary for better health & B:the Triathlon is a gift to myself for taking the steps necessary for better health. C: if I keep on my current loss rate I will be half way to my goal by the time A & B happen.
That is special.:biggrin2:

If you can't say anything nice, don't say anything.
Yep some folks just don't know when to keep their mouth shut.
-
Sky diving, hmmm. Now there's an idea.
-
Sounds like he will need some time to sort this out. It is a big change for him too. That being said his actions and words are very frustrating. I feel for you. It looks like you might be needing to find your primary support somewhere else.
Good Luck on your journey.

I've been to this place before with friends and said I "never wanted" to do it myself. That was Bull**it. I always thought I was too heavy and they wouldn't let me.
Today I climbed 6 walls more then half way and one to the top. We're talking over 50ft to the top.
It was fantastic!!
