Looks like someone spammed you. I think you have the ability to delete this garbage.

As to the hot chocolate so glad to hear you enjoyed it as I was thinking of getting some for when I can't drink coffee for 2 months.

  3. Guess what I did tonight?!! I went shopping for boots to wear with my skinny jeans. I literally tried on 10 pair and could fit in all of them. Even the wide calf ones used to not fit me! Now I can wear regular ones with no problem! My husband was so excited for me that he bought me two pair! One black leather coach and one brown pebbled leather pair! They are so dam cute I can hardly wait to wear them! Yeah me!!!

  4. Woo Ho! I got my box full of Protein products from Bariatric Pal store today! I used my 50.00 gift card and even spent a little more. They sent me some free items to try too! I will be having one of those items for a snack today and I can hardly wait to try their hot chocolate! I haven't had anything to drink besides water in over a year! Yeah me!

Aren't they great! I got my package quickly and at least 4 freebies. I only got protein bars which I am really enjoying while on my 6 months supervised diet. I would love to hear if you like the hot chocolate.

I use the carnation light (no added sugar) in chocolate flavor with skim milk, mix it up, then heat it up. Takes pretty close to hot chocolate!

What's nice about this hot chocolate is it is protein enriched.

I did try a crispy caramel peanut bar tonight. I was scared but let me tell you, it was like eating a real candy bar. I hate most real candy now because it is too sweet but this bar was delicious and had 15 grams of protein!

Our Thanksgiving was today with the family. I'm anxious to see how I did. Mostly ate turkey, and a few bites of the other things. AND a small serving of dessert. We will see how it goes on the scale tomorrow. Congratulations on your success as you kick off the holiday season.

I loved seeing my son for Thanksgiving! I literally sent him home with every leftover with the exception of a very small amount of turkey and a tiny portion of my sweet potato soufflé which rocked! I figured if I got everything else out of my house I would not be tempted to eat it. LOL! I was down a little more again yesterday! Woot woot!

  9. Ouch! Today I had surgery to remove an implanted neurostimulator from my spine. It was an old one and had the leads secured to my spine so I now have 2 old scars opened and one brand new one. They had me so hopped up on drugs I cannot sleep at all, every time I fall asleep, I feel like I am suffocating. So here I am on BP.. Hopefully tomorrow will be a better day. With less pain medication.

You guys are very sweet. I am having a really rough time tonight. I felt so much better this morning. Hubby is calling the doctors service to see if we can get something a bit stronger. I a, guessing that won't happen until tomorrow given everything has to be physically handed to you these days.

Thanks again everyone for the well wishes and hugs. This is bumming me out a bit and that usually doesn't happen with me

      Babbs,

I de died to start crocheting again to keep my hands busy. Since then I have noticed that I have a whole lot less head hunger going on and therefore my snacking has changed dramatically. I still snack but I noticed my calorie count has dropped from 1200 per day back down to around 1000 to 1100. Also of course when your hands are so busy you are burning more energy. I am still restricted and having another back surgery on 11/16.

That really is the only thing different to speak of.

      Recipe for Chicken Tortilla Soup:

      2 boneless skinless chicken breasts

1 large box of chicken stock

3 stalks of celery - washed and chopped

4 carrots - peeled and sliced

1 poblano pepper - chopped (if u want it spicier, use a jalapeño)

      1 large onion - chopped

      2 cups of water

1 large can of enchilada sauce (I use mild)

      1 can chopped green chiles

1 palm full of chili powder

      1 T. Ground cumin

      1 T. Dried oregano

      Olive oil

      2 gloves garlic chopped

      1 small bag corn

1 large can whole tomatoes - crush with your hands

In large stock pot heat 2 T. Olive oil. Add onion, celery, poblano pepper, 1 T. Salt & black pepper. Sauté until soft. Add chicken stock, water, dried spices and bring to boil.

Turn down heat to simmer, Add both chicken breasts, enchilada sauce, tomatoes, and all other ingredients. Simmer for 10 minutes. Pull chicken breast and shred. Add chicken back to soup. Simmer for 20 to 30 minutes or until carrots are tender.

      Enjoy! Yum!

  17. I met with a cardiologist yesterday. I definitely feel better after seeing him. He believes having two major surgeries in 8 months has played a huge role. My passing out, dizziness and low heart rate is being caused by 3 things: surgeons using steroids during and after spine surgery has caused my adrenal system to be out of whack which is causing my body to take longer to acclimate to positional changes, dehydration from the ability to swallow much for the last 4 weeks and the nerve in my cervical spine that was impacted and controls heart rate is irritate. He said it is like a perfect storm. An endocrinologist can help me with the adrenal gland issue. Of course Imy throat is getting better making hydration a bit easier and I just have to give that nerve some time to heal. My heart looks very health! Thanks for all the well wishes!

Off all medications and it is still happening. I hope they don't find anything too scary but need answers. Wish me luck!

  20. Had a rough day yesterday. As most of you know I recently had cervical spinal fusion via my throat. It has been very hard to eat or drink for 2.5 weeks now. Apparently my heart rate has been very low and I let myself get dehydrated. Well, I stood up yesterday took a step and woke up on the floor. Not a good thing for someone in a neckbrace with 3 new fusions. Ugh! Spent the day in the er getting fluids. Now they want me to see a cardiologist because of my unexplained low heart rate and over 51 age. My heart rate did not improve even after I was rehydrated. Luckily I was wearing my brace and other than being sore, I feel a little better today. I am thankful that I did not really cause a huge problem. Moral of the story, don't let yourself get dehydrated no matter what! And how did your Saturday go!

Thanks everyone for the well wishes and prayers. I am feeling a little better today, staying hydrated. I have an appointment with the cardiologist next Monday. In the meantime I am going to focus on getting my body moving more each day. I miss my workouts terribly (I never in a million years thought I would ever say that! LOL). I think your body gets used to exercise and when you don't get it you feel like crap.

Thanks again my fabulous Bariatric pal family!

  23. What a great feeling! My oldest son was here last night , he is 6'2" tall. He looks good for his height except he has that tell tale sign of a ver small beer belly. He does like to indulge once in a while. I have always been the heaviest in our family. Last night he tells me he need to drop a few pounds because he is at his heaviest. I asked him what his weight is and he told me 225. For the first time in my life I weigh less than him. I am currently 205 headed for onederland. I am 5'10". Although I felt bad for him, I have to say I was so very proud of me for losing 105 lbs

When I had that done a year ago February, it helped sooooo much. Once I got past recovery, I have had no pain or nerve issues at all with that concern. Even the scar is hard to see. It just looks like one of the wrinkles in my neck. The biggest aggravation was wearing the collar for six weeks. Get well soon.

    2. Djmohr

      Djmohr

Yes Miss Mac , the collar is not my favorite, I am in a Miami j hard collar but it definately gives me support and I so badly need that right now. Having had 3 levels and a whole vertebra removed was a pretty big surgery. My head is heavy and shoulders are very painful si I am glad u have the collar at the moment.

I am so very tired after 3 days of little to no sleep. Can hardly focus enough to hold my head up. I am sure I will get well soon, I would not have it any other way.

Thanks again for the well wishes!
