My Story- Part I

I wasn't always fat!!  I was in shape and took care of myself in my 20s. Then I got married,no time for sports or working out and over 5-10 yrs I became chunky and pudgey....not too bad.  Then here comes 2011 and the wheels began to fall off my body and I began falling apart.  2 heart attacks, a double bypass, broke the same foot 3 times in a year, kidney failure.  My brother died in 2012 and that sunk me down into a deep depression.  My weight ballooned up to 360 pounds. YIKES!!!!   Im 6' tall.  Every day when I wake up, I wonder which body part will hurt first and the worst....feet, knees, hips or back.   I've tried every diet in the book, so I decided that drastic times call for drastic measures......that's when I decided it was time to have weight loss surgery.  I read up and did alot of research on them all and chose to have the sleeve done. My surgery is set for October 30th.  I start my pre-op diet this  Thursday (oct 16).  I'm running through all the emotions....happy, excited, nervous, scared, apprehensive, you name it and I am experiencing it.

17 days til I fly out......I AM SO READY TO BEGIN THE JOURNEY

                     PART II
Here we are 6 months later and I am down 100 pounds.  I've been stalled for quite some time now.  Getting alittle down and depressed about it.  I know that I dont go to the gym enough but its just so hard to get motivated.  I had so many years of bad habits.  I had hoped to be alot closer to my goal weight by June, but it doesn't look like that is going to happen.  First things first.....I gotta finish school first.  If the weight comes off more slowly, then so be it.  to be continued again at a later date.    LOL
