  1. My surgery is set for October 30.
  2. I had the sleeve done on Oct 30,2014......I lost 123 lbs in 8 months. WOW...I am impressed!! Since June 2015, I have not lost any weight. My weight seems to yo-yo between 237 and 243. I have googled, read, and tried just about everything to jump start my weight loss. NOTHING seems to work!! UUUUGGGGGHHHHH!! Can anyone give me some tips suggestions, or ideas PLEASE!?!?! I am almost to the point of wanting to go have the RNY done to lose the last 65-70 lbs to hit my goals!!
  3. Weight loss has been very slow since my one year sleeviversary. I got hurt at work and have been unable to exercise. It's very frustrating but at least I have not gained.

Congratulations on not having gained. Great achievement if you are unable to exercise. Hope you heal soon and can get back to exercising.

I wish I knew! I've been stuck at 265 for 5 months now. No gains but no losses either. Incredibly frustrating!

I stall a lot! If it lasts more than 2 or 3 weeks I try to look at what I am doing and of course find that I left something sneak into my diet that shouldn't be there. Are you tracking everything in a tracker like Myfitnesspal? It might help you see what could be the culprit.

I also noticed just changing what I am eating in a day. I am sometimes a creature of habit and will eat the same thing day in and day out. When I stall for a period of time I know I have to change it up again.

Congratulations on your anniversary. That year went by fast. I remember when you were going to have your surgery.

    Type 1 diabetes

I was a BAD diabetic.....I took over 300 units a day of combined R & N insulin. I used 10 bottles a month.....now I am down to using 3. 2 bottles of N and 1 of R. When I was on the liquid diet.....I was insulin FREE!!! Once I incorporated food back into my diet, I was back on the insulin. I am trying to ween myself off the R all together. Eating the right amounts of Protein and carbs is a science and what works for me ......may not work for you. I think that once I reach my goal weight, I will still be on insulin.......hopefully 1 bottle will last me a month. GOOD LUCK on your journey!!!!

Old habits ARE hard to break

Why does it bother you that you are the only one not drinking?? If anyone questions you just merely say that giving up a few drinks has helped you to lose weight.....I dont know with you but with me if I have a few drinks, then I get the munchies. You are doing an OUTSTANDING JOB....keep up the good hard work!!!

    Chewing question

yes!!!! if you dont chew up your food good.....it will come back up. I am 6 1/2 months post op and I still have to put the majority of my meats in the kitchen ninja. It's a pain and inconvenience but hey......I'm down 103 lbs!!! I'd drink it through a straw if I had to.
  12. FINALLY broke a 5 or 6 week stall!!! Down 3 more pounds !!!! THANK YOU LORD FOR YOUR BLESSINGS ON ME!!!!

working out and not losing weight

You definitely need to up your caloric intake to 1000-1200 per day if you are burning that much at the gym. If you are toning....remember muscle weighs more than fat so therefore your weight loss will be even slower. GOOD LUCK TO YOU!!!

Is my life ruined for ever due to my weight loss surgery?

All of these ladies have posted some excellent comments. I am 6 months post op. I still have to put my meat in the ninja and chop it up very finely in order to eat it. But hey.....that is ok!! You know why.......cuz I am 100 lbs lighter!!! Is it an inconvenience.....YES!!! In your original post...you didnt mention how much weight you've lost. Don't be discouraged and don't ever let yourself think that you made a mistake by having WLS. Give you body time to heal and do WHATEVER it takes, eat WHATEVER you have to or can tolerate to achieve success and your ultimate goal. GOOD LUCK & GOD BLESS!!!

    Am I losing enough weight?

I lost 15 the week before surgery and then 15 the week after surgery, then it went to like 2,3,1,5, ect. You are doing an awesome job. Try not to focus so much on the number that the scales say......it will drive you crazy!!
