  6. I am so sorry to hear this. I hope all gets better soon. I have had gout in multiple places in my feet and legs for over a week now and i am not even quite 2 weeks out post op. It has been agonizing. No end in sight to my misery and not even sure what to do about it...
  7. I am a couple days shy of 2 weeks post op and everything is really starting to get better......EXCEPT i have had gout throughout my feet and knees for about a week now. I am taking gout meds and getting my fluids in for the most part but i cannot get rid of it! It just moves from place to place. It has been excruciating and i cant get any real walks in. I dont know what to do about it but i feel like i am cursed and there is no end in sight. Very frustrated.?

  12. Keep drinking! I am 8 days post op and i was back in the dr office yesterday getting 3 bags of fluids. I was extremely dehydrated! Not fun at all. My dehydration led to a severe gout attack in my knee and i cannot even get out of my chair or walk right now! Good luck to you. Glad u are doing well!

  22. One more day and i will finally be able to add shakes back in. I have been 6 days clear liquids after surgery! I need some energy. It is funny how each dr has different guidelines. I got a strict one i guess!
  23. Yes i am allowed tylonal. I Should try the pm....why didnt i think of that. Ill give it a go.
  24. I thought the same thing but realized that without this tool, eating like that forever would be very difficult

  27. Longing for pudding and cream soups! Lol . Lucky you. I did walk a mile today in 2 trips combined. Just wish i was feeling a bit better by now. I dont go back to work until the 15th so hoping recovery speeds up. I have lost 7 lbs since surgery so i guess that is a good thing
  28. Been kinda rough...gotta admit. I cant get near the fluids in i need. I still cant even tell when i am full until i have a stomach ache. And that is just from drinking small amounts of fluids. Not sleeping much either. How about you?
  29. I just feel sooo full that my stomach hurts. I feel bloated. Like there is nowhere else to put anything. I an struggling get regularl 20oz bottled water down a day. I can tell by the color of my urine that there are signs of dehydration. Hoping to improve each day☺
  30. Mine was the 1st. Having a rough recovery as well. No throwing up. Just severe cramping/gas and a migraine that lasted 2 day. Cannot get in enough liquid. Hoping it gets better soon...
  31. I think I'm 5 days post op now and i cannot get enough liquids in. Plus am on clears until Wednesday. I am struggling, not gonna lie. So far been harder than i expected but i know it will get better. Especially once i am allowed to get some protein shakes! It will all be worth it! Take time to let your body heal and be strong. We got this.
  32. Back home. Still feel bloated but had a bowel movement finally which helped. (Tmi?) Stomach feels strange. It is going to be a challenge to realize when your new stomach is full because i have so much going on down there anyway it is hard to decipher what is coming from where. Im sure it will get easier when my tummy calms down a bit. Feeling ok overall but going to be slow going this first week. Slight headache and low energy at the moment. Still super glad i did it and in a few months i will likely not even remember the tougher moments of recovery.
  33. Feeling a bit better but still bloated. Will be doing the leak test a bit later to see if i can go home. Gonna go walk for a bit...
  34. Less than 24 hours post op. Gas pains are no joke!! I don't think i have much surgery pain, just gas/bloating. Hoping it passes soon! Do not remember a thing from surgery so that is a good thing. I'll keep you guys posted.
