So, I lost 100 pounds, about 66% of my excess weight. I'm still considered obese, my bmi is 31-compared to a bmi of 49. After a year I stopped losing and have maintained this weight pretty easily for over a year. Was I disappointed that I haven't lost more? A little, but was it worth it? Hell,ya! I feel better, I look better, sleep Apnea gone, high blood pressure gone. I can cross my legs, walk forever and I just feel great. So. 90 pound weight loss is definitely worth it.

Hi everyone my question is what do everyone eats. I'm a diabetic and I try to watch what I eat. I was sleeved in September of last year and I've only lost 43lbs since then, the only thing I have trouble getting down is rice, lettuce and some beef, but I can eat anything so for. I excise 6 days a week for an hour and a half and the weight is at a stand still. I started at 266 and now I'm at 223, my goal is 180. WHAT IS GOING ON, is anyone at this point? HELP

I started my liquid diet April 17th @ 347 lbs, had surgery the following week. Im currently at 272, so 75lbs in less than 3 months. Its possible, not saying its the best. The human is a strange thing. Everyone is different, but thats why I make sure im not starving myself, I eat healthy, I haven't had any bad food days or bad habit days, I take my Vitamins everyday and drink about 70 to 100 oz of fluids. I workout 2 to 3 times a week. I havent stalled yet, but I know its coming. Plus men lose weight differently then women. Honestly I am more concern about how much better I feel than the LBS. I am concern that I may lose more than I want to, but if it happens so be it!

I am so sorry to hear about the problems you have. I know carrying a lot of weight for a long period wreaks havoc on the spine and body, including the feet. The diabetic neuropathy that usually affects overweight people is a horrible way to live. My husband still is diabetic and has had foot dropsy before the sleeve, which affects his gait to the point he has trouble walking. But at 200 lbs it is easier than 300 lbs. I am off Metformin since the sleeve, but it seems my feet bother me more than anything. Long term obesity will shorten our lives with many health problems, and I hope you can get all of this under control, and your weight loss helps with the problems. Good luck!

I had the same thing...but got rid of the chewable multi's and am trying the Patches. I couldn't stomach the chewables anymore. B12 is good for me too and I take three calcium chews (bariatric advantages) they taste good. One thing that helps me immensely, thanks to @Thejeweledsleeve, is the Round app. My phone dings when it's time for Vitamins. So, I'm not having to think about them really. Might be worth checking in to for yourself.

I'm five feet two I started at 272 and am now 172-175. While I'm still largish. Size 16 Bmi is 31. I am satisfied with weight lost and have maintained it for almost two years. Surgery will be three years in July.

Wendyfm reacted to BostonGary in Did you have WLS? The audacity of some.
I treat my WLS like it was a life saving operation.
I view this surgery no different than having heart surgery or any other high risk surgery to save someones life. I see no embarrassment or issue with telling people "I had weight loss surgery because I was getting far too heavy and unhealthy."
The stigma needs to stop -- this surgery should be treated no differently than any other surgery.
Remember, this isn't a "solution" it's a tool to help you survive.

I'll be three years out in July and I still think of myself as a weight loss surgery patient. I probably always will. I count calories still and weight myself daily as well as take all the necessary supplements. The excitement is long gone however,so now it's just a routine.
