AMen!! I am screaming for my husband! I want to be married and have babies one day! I also want peace on earth. I know that sounds like an answer from a Miss America contest but I want it. I am also screaming for Mandy's Daughter and all other children that are experiencing any sicknesses, emotional ,physical whatever! Call me a screaming idiot! I am screaming for Crystal and her health issues ( I scream that you will be healed of cushing's syndrome if that is what you have). I am getting hoarse here! I scream for no more discrimination especially for overweight people and people with physical deformities!!! Okay I am a screaming banshee now! Whew that was cathartic(sp?)! I feel better now.

Well I would tell her that I made a decision to get the weight off. I would explain to her about the 3-4oz of food at a time. Tell her everything that you are doing without revealing about your band. Getting your water in, exercising etc. I agree with Keri too if she is genuine tell her but then again I don't know sometimes people change when they realize how you really did it. It is up to you. I would have to feel her out before I own up to anything. In my personal life now I only give out name rank and serial number. LOL I have many people who ask me how I am doing it. I tell them one day at a time.

I went to curves it was great. The only thing was that you do the 3 times around in the 30 minutes that was great. It worked for the first 3 months then I had to start going around 6 times to keep the inches going. I found out that there is no weight resistance you are the weight resistance. So if you do go after a while you may want to invest in wrist weights and ankle weights.

I don't Know if this is on your phone but you have to send it using multi media messages.Then type in the email addy. You can't do it like you are sending a regular text message. If you are doing it the multi media way then I don't know. Invalid destination to me sounds like the email address maybe typed in wrong. I don't know this is where my experstise ends. LOL

I am really curious about this! Delalrla I took hydroxy cut pre-band and I thought I was gonna die! It is speed pure and simple. My heart was beating out of my chest. I have perfect restriction right now because of my last fill but it is always interesting to know other ways to curb the appetite. I am mainly interested for my sister. She is getting married in July.

AMen Megan Girlfriend AMen!! I feel you. I have been beating myself up for years over my facial deformity and my weight. Now that my weight is finally a non issue because of the band and I am finally embracing my beauty I feel better about myself. I have 'friends' who seem to want the old low self esteem me back. I think I make them uncomfortable now. I see guys that are noticing me now and I know they were not before the band.Or maybe it is because I love the way I look, I look happy and self assured. I have lost 44lbs so far and I am still a bit off from my goal but I know that it is attainable. Embrace you, and love you. You do have a lovely smile, you are a hottie! Now do tha' dang thang!!!

I wanted to do something about my weight. The hospital where I work started doing commercials for the doctors who were doing the gastric bypass surgery. I was so afraid of this surgery because of alot of the patients who didn't fair so well. The girl who worked behind my favorite deli, died after 4 months she was 28. The lady who went to my church lost 100lbs in 3 months. You may think wow but she can't eat, cant' digest anything. Has to come into the doctors office for IV everything. Not a life for me. Meanwhile I am praying to God to help me in this weight loss battle. Jump to 2 months later. A friend/co-worker decides he is going to go for it Gastric Bypass. He says I don't care about all of the bad outcomes I just want this weight off and if I die doing it , then oh-well. He asks me to come to the information seminar that was being held in our conference room. I tell him I will support him but there is no way that I am doing the Gastric Bypass. The seminar was inspiring, Every one could not wait until the end to sign up for Gastric Bypass. One lady was crying that she will finally get her life back. I felt their pain but I was scared to death and I know that God said in his word to fear not cause I am with you always. Then at the very end MY doctor said these life changing words. We are starting a newer weight loss procedure in March the adjustable Lap-band. The weight loss is slower than that of the Gastric Bypass but it is a laporascopic procedure that will be done on an outpatient status. I can honestly say my spirit lept for joy. The smile on my face was HUGE. I said right then Thank You Jesus, Amen!! I went to support a friend and GOD blessed me with the news. I signed up that day in January. The day of surgery I was a little nervous not scared. My surgery was 45 minutes long. I was in the hospital a total of 3 1/2 hours. I stayed home for a week and then went back to work. I have lost about 44lbs. I don't consider this slow weight loss. As opposed to Gastric Bypass yes, but as opposed to me doing it without any help it is super fast. That day in my seminar God answered my prayer. I asked Him to HELP me lose weight not to DO it for me and he has and is still helping me. With the band I have to do my part to help ensure the weight comes off. With Gastric Bypass and the Duodenal Switch the weight is going to come off whether you do anything or not. God helps those who help themselves. So yes I received my answer and I thank God for my band, AMEN!!!

I finally have the level of restrction I had when I was first banded. I was wondering when it would happen and it finally has. You know it is like I guess when a person on crack is searching for that high they got the first time they hit the pipe.( For those of you who may be offended by this remark I apologize butno other analogy comes to me at this time). Well I got it. I can only eat about 3oz at a time. I feel great. I eat soup now and I am full for about 5 hours. I eat my solid food and it is amazing how much I have left on my plate. I am at 2.8cc's in my 4cc band. I feel good not too tight this is just right. I hope this lasts a long time. I have already lost 4 lbs since Thursday's adjustment. I can't wait to weigh in on Monday with Delarla's challenge. I am so pumped. Well I am off to bed because it is 1:38 am here. NIte Nite

My doctor says no to sodas period. He says it can cause expansion to the band which will in time make you lose good restriction to the point that fills won't work anymore.

Penni Those three hundreds are the BOMB BABY!!! I want one too! I am having a hard time choosing between the 300 and the Lincoln Navigator. We have the same color choice too amazing. I also picked that same color in the navigator. That 300 is what my little cousins call 'BIG PIMPIN' Lol have fun!!

Thanks for the post. I agree with Cndy, Now that I have lost about 43lbs it is easier for me to exercise. I don not want to get into 'Diet Mode' with the band. I do know however even without the band eating the wrong kinds of food is not the way to go. I too drink my breakfast in the morning because I am too tight . I will say this I am at 2.8cc's in my 4cc band and I am at my sweet spot! I feel the same restriction I felt when first banded. Restriction is also helpful in losing I didn't see where she told you that. It is VERY important. Thanks for the post I need to exercise regularly that is something I am dealing with constantly.

I went in for my fourth and hopefully final fill. I think this one is it. I have already lost 2 lbs since the fill on Yesterday. I know it is because I am on liquids. I am now at about 44 lbs gone. I love this band. I am glad everyone is doing great!

My water weight usually starts the week before. I gain about 6 lbs. Then the week of my cycle I lose the six plus another pound or two. I do this every month.

Erin I am so sorry for what you had to endure these past months. I know that you feel defeated but you can do it. There are a few bandsters that have lost their bands and they are fighting the good fight to continue losing weight. The band is just a tool but it does require a decent amount of discipline. I have faith in you. You will not gain the weight back and you WILL lose the other 50lbs. Keep visiting this site. Vent, Vent , vent and vent some more. Then after you can't vent anymore do the dang thang!!! Show yourself that you can do this. We are here for support , God Bless you!

Okay! My hair dresser is my best friend and I have hair extensions! I use a spray that keeps the wavy look and it has extra shine booster in it. My hair is short in the back and layered all over so we incorperated the wavy locks in. My hair color is brown like a medium brown. It is not dyed. When I was diagnosed with Lupus in 95 all of my hair fell out because of medicine. It grew back wavy and a medium to light brown go figure and it never changed.

Okay I am close to 3cc's in a 4cc band. I drank the water in the office and felt it. I think this is it! I am going to eat my soup now and I will let ya'll know how it goes!!

I had my fill today! I have almost 3cc in my 4cc band. I drank the water in the office and felt a little more restriction. I have a feeling that this is it. Dr. Kent hits my port everytime. I am gonna eat some soup in a minute and I will definitely let ya'll know if I feel a difference! Say a prayer!

KIm about that Gazelle do you like it? I was thinking about getting one! Oh yeah I see the exercise ball and I have it in my mind that I am too big for that. Does the exercise ball have a weight requirement?

Okay Paula I will. I have had my share of them believe me. This is so totally different but I have my guard up. You are so sweet for caring. I went to the grocery store today and got hit on again! I think because I have finally accepted myself I have a completely different attitude and evidently it is attracting men. Oh yeah and I had a woman hit on me the other day, that was weird but she was very nice. OH well thanks to you guys! Man ya'll rock!
