1. I'm not really resentful.. the attention is sometimes a little weird for me.. I've always dressed well, worked out.. and done my makeup and hair.. but I actually feel pretty. I've always been told I had a good personality.. I don't really blame anyone.. I'm superficial at times myself.
2. I have noticed lately that men open the door for me (or RUN out of their way to get the door for me).. Or just smile at me, or make small talk.. Even women seem to be nicer to be lately.. Just wondered if anyone else noticed going from pretty much invisible to a little more attention at a certain point of their weight loss..
3. I run with headphones, so I wouldn't know.. I also run with a 90 pound American Bulldog.. I have also thought about getting a small can of mace I can clip to his leash just in case..
4. You have to get over some of this mentality. I used to go to the gym religiously even at 318 pounds. No one cares that you are there.. no one is judging you.. I found my best friends through the gym and we encourage each other. I run outside. I bike outside.. You can work out at home too, but I find myself more motivated with fit friends.
5. Kettlebells are awesome, and you can use them in many different ways! I would go with Kettlebells.
6. I would not agree to the "every single person...ends up getting another addiction". Just because "never" and "always" are words to be wary of. It doesn't have to be a bad addiction people get addicted to bicycling and skydiving and eating healthy and other aspects of life being addicted to something is not always a bad thing... Although I like really hate CrossFit Fanatics lol whoa.. wait.. why you hatin on crossfitters?
7. BTW, I wouldn't think any less of anyone using a gofundme acct.. like others said, its up to the giver if they want to give. I've donated to some.. recently a friend whose dog needed emergency surgery.. I've been there.
8. @FrankiesGirl Isn't it a great feeling? And its amazing to be able to buy sports bras at the store!! The fila brand is pretty good.. I get them at kohls.. always on sale..
9. @@JamieLogical Slight jogging for me was 3.5-4 mph on the treadmill.. in bursts of maybe 30 seconds or so.. But yea.. the only thing he didn't want me doing was weightlifting, but he said as long as I felt ok.. what hurt me was going for my 3 or 4 week checkup and being 280 (34 pounds lost by then) and him telling me to start doing longer running distances and the NUT saying, Doc, this girl CAN'T run at 280 POUNDS! I was like, um, maam, I can.. do.. and will.. so...
10. I was walking around the hospital the day of and after surgery. 3 days post op I was walking on the treadmill.. a week later (about) slight jogging.. 2 weeks post, spin class.. 4 weeks post light weightlifting and 6 weeks post, back to full movement.. but I was very active pre-surgery.
11. Hey OP! Glad you are getting your surgery! Keep us updated!
12. Ooh, these sound interesting! Lord! We got through about 10 a week.. if not more. My 2.5 year old will eat a whole one with dinner.
13. How on earth are you so close to goal at 4 months out?? Lol I was just gonna say.. Men! Lol.. But then I saw his explanation.

15.
I don't really have a "schedule".. I go either once or twice day. Either the gym, or at home.. I run a lot.. I do weights.. I cycle.. I try to get it in whenever I can. Some days I run at lunch and weight train at night..

I have always worked out, so I was walking when I got home from surgery. I was jogging at 4 days post op, and I think I went back to spinning 2 weeks after with light weights. At a month out I was back to my full schedule, with mild weights.. back to heavy weightlifting at 6 weeks.

16. I got rid of cable.. Helps a lot actually..
17. I work out a LOT. I've noticed a pattern to my body.. stall for about 2.5 weeks, then drop a bunch of weight (5 pounds) then stall again.. During the stall though, I am definitely losing inches.
18. If you are going to be increasing in distance and in speed.. you need lots of stretching.. Do you do yoga? I would recommend at least one yoga workout a week..
19. I can't run outside in the cold. I get a horrible cough for the rest of the day whenever I try. My lungs HATE the cold air! That's why I don't schedule any races until April at the earliest. Even in April, it's sometimes only in the upper 30's or low 40's in the early mornings. Why are races always at ungodly hours like 7:00 am? They want the race crowd out of the way for the bulk of the day. I got a face mask that helps me with my runs in cold weather.. I'm good until it hits about 35..
20. I very much believe, though, that where our calories come from matter.
21. As I suspected, my hubby DID get me a trainer.. He's awesome!
22. What is your height @@foodfighter78
23. I have suffered from major depression and anxiety most of my life. I've been on quite a few different meds to help, but not one of them has ever helped. However, in the last 2 months since surgery I have been eating less and exercising much more…and guess what? My depression has been much better. Exercise VERY much improves depression. My Husband suffers, and when he isn't running every day, I notice it.. when he stops for a week or more, the mood in our house is horrible.. Since he has been constantly at it, he is like a different person. We spent 10 years together, and him suffering from it, before I saw how much running helps him.
24. My husband said losing weight/having surgery wouldn't make me happy.. and surgery wasn't the entire fix.. but being able to run 5 miles without stopping has made me HAPPY.
