I was APPROVED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I was approved today! I am so excited. My surgery date is 03-07-08. DH and I are having it the same day!

I am currently waiting on my predetermination from Empire BCBS. I spoke with the medical management nurse and she said since the surgeon submitted it as outpatient, then it did not need to be pre-certified but most surgeons want a pre-determination letter stating that they will cover it before they do the surgery. Let's keep our fingers crossed.

Dr. Hekier, I am currently in West Monroe, LA and I am having my surgery with Dr. Cribbins in Dallas, TX who works in conjunction with Rita Zuber in Calhoun, LA for aftercare. Everything of mine is submitted to insurance and I am waiting on approval, so I really am not considering moving surgeons but I have gotten several people interested in considering lap band who ask for referals. Do you have an aftercare program in other areas?

I am actually going through a surgeon in Dallas-Dr.Cribbins. He comes highly recommended and then all my aftercare will be through the Family Clinic in Calhoun with Rita Zuber.

Now I am scared to ask where everything exits then. :party:

Personality...definately personality. I can't stand that. I don't get the point. If you don't like me, fine. Don't act like you do then turn around and tell my business to someone else. These people always have to be the center of attention. maybe they didn't get enough attention at home. Maybe they have the only child syndrome. I don't know, but they love spreading gossip and being nice to people is their way of getting the gossip they need. Disgusting.

OMG Crazycat! I decided to take a peek at the site while I was at work and my stomach is hurting so bad from trying not to laugh out loud while reading that story. HILARIOUS!!!!

I too have a daughter in GS. I work for a large company and ended up selling a butt load (is that in our metric system). I bought some thinking "Hey. Maybe they will come in before the surgery", since I don't have a date yet. Just my luck they will come in while I am on my pre-op diet. Not to mention our troop will also have to hole up and attack people infront of grocery stores. UGH!

People naturally want to make themselves look better. I say keep them coming, and if you want to poke your neck out or twist your head around like the exorcist, it's your own business and no one else's. I commend you on your courage to post the pics in the first place, and funny enough, just because of the simple fact that someone would have something negative to say about them.

I was wondering the same thing. The band is a tool, not a miracle procedure. You have to do the work and the band aids you in your weight loss journey. It will take several fills before you will acheive maximum restriction. Give it some time and do all the research you can at this site. This site will give you loads of wonderful people to offer you support in your journey.
