1. Hi babygrl1234! Would you mind sharing the resume cover letter you mentioned? I am job hunting also. Thanks so much.
2. Hey Manatee, Wow, you are a great son to even consider doing this for them! Truly what a great gift. My thought was what about going ahead and paying for one of them to get started and get banded, maybe this then would motivate the other one??? Like if your dad has been more committed so far, get him started and banded. At that point there would be a need to remove the Snacks from the house and so forth. It could end up being hard to have to choose just one of them over the other, but my basis for my decision would be which ever parent seems more serious and committed. Manatee, those are just my thoughts. Hope it helps.
3. Dedria, You have described the situation I am in. Please everyone pray with me that the Lord will open a door for me to have this surgery, and that the Lord will soften my husband's heart regarding the surgery. I know some of you already are, so thank you, and I appreciate it so much. I just know the Lord will provide! Thank you Lord in advance for your mighty work in my life! I love you and I lift your name up today!! Everyone is doing so great, and I pray for all of us everyday!! Stay inspired for we are TRULY blessed!!! Hugs to everyone!
4. Did your insurance pay for your Lap Band surgery, or were you a self-pay? Where did you get banded? U.S., Mexico, Australia, Europe, Canada, or elsewhere? Please only vote if you have already been banded, thank you. Remember, for those concerned about privacy, this is a PUBLIC poll: other users can see the choice(s) you selected. Just curious to see, thanks everyone!
5. JC 2008, I am so sorry to hear that! You are in my prayers!
6. Thor, You are in my prayers!
7. Sorry if the print is too small, not sure why.
8. Hi Everyone! Ok, let me explain this thread. Since her band date January 23, 2008, I have chatted with so many people asking and wanting to know about a particular sweet wonderful newly bandster lady, that so many of us care about. So I thought I would create a thread entirely for her! Everyone feel free to leave your thoughts, questions, and concerns for/to/about Alfie here. Without further ado, Alfie… WELCOME TO BANDLAND!!!! Alfie, I just can’t say how excited I am for you! You are on your way to a new YOU! You are amazing and you are doing so great! We are proud of you! 9. Hi everyone! Does anyone know if Dr. H & K do fills for patients banded in Mexico? If so how much? I am considering Mexico. Thanks, ~M~
10. Hi Teresa, thanks for the info. So there isn't a meeting on Tuesday (Jan. 22nd?) It was last week? I went to to the doc's website and I thought it said there is one on the 22nd. Maybe I have it mixed up? M
11. Hi Saleel, No, I am not still deciding. :girl_hug: I absolutely know that I want to, just waiting on a way for it to become a possibility. That is, I am a self-pay, and am wondering if I can get this financed or what. SO far, no luck. I am still hopeful though, praying for something to happen so I can get this surgery! Thanks for asking. Take care. ~M
12. Welcome Bizzy! I am still relatively new myself. I have only been considering Lap Band since the new year, and am also a self-pay. I too, am waiting on the Lord to provide a way for this procedure to be done. The Lord brings all things good, and this surgery is just one more I am going to be able to add to my testimony! I will be praying for you, and I ask that everyone keep me and my husband in your prayers as well. Hugs to all. ~M :girl_hug:
13. Saleel, Glad to hear from you, sorry you didn't feel so well to start! I bet you will get better, you seem very strong and I am sure you can get through it!! Take care
14. Hi everyone, just wanted to see how everyone is doing? A know there are a few people on their way to being banded, can't wait to hear about their success!!! Everyone is in my thoughts and prayers! Take care all! ~M.
15. Hey everyone! Just wanted to check in here and say hi and ask a few questions. 1.) Where in Wadley hospital is the meeting being held on this coming Monday night? And from what time to what time? Like is it from 7-8 p.m.? Do I need to bring anything (like a notebook)? 2.) Have any of you who've been banded by Dr. H and/or Dr. K had a hiatal hernia which was taken care at the same time you were banded? Just curious as to what the doctors do if this were to happen? Is there a way to know if you have this before hand or do the doctors just find out while they have you opened up? Anyone have this experience? 3.) Does anyone know of a good chiropractor here in Texarkana? Anyway, I hope everyone is doing okay. Would love to hear from anyone! Everyone is in my prayers! Take care! ~M
