SLOW Loss (3-4 lbs per month)
If you are exercising a lot, you may not be eating enough. Also, 65 grams of protein seems really low. My surgeon's lowest recommendation is 80 grams and is mostly 100 grams. What does your NUT suggest? Embrace the Stall http://BariatricPal.com/index.php?/topic/351046-Embrace-the-Stall

Weight stall
Are you tracking your food/protein at all?

Weight stall
Do you have a protein target? Mine is 100 grams a day. My surgeon's guidelines are: 100 grams a day for all men and anyone with a starting BMI of over 50. For all women with a starting BMI of under 50 the target is 80 grams. Look at the label for your Shakeology. What does it say about protein, carbs, and sugar?

Why Shakeology? Is that approved by your program. My understanding is that it is high in carbs. Getting enough water and Protein is critical for weight loss and health. Since you are 5 months out you should be able to get most, if not all, of your protein from food. How are you doing at getting in all of your protein? What does your NUT advise? What's everyone's weightless so far?
Frankly, without knowing what you are doing it is impossible for us to know what you might be doing "wrong" if anything. Are you: following your program? Tracking your food? Getting at least 64 oz Fluid? Reaching your Protein target daily? (What is your protein target?) Avoiding added sugars (especially high fructose corn syrup), starches, and fried foods? Eating mindfully? Taking your Vitamins and supplements as directed? Exercising? Embrace the Stall http://BariatricPal.com/index.php?/topic/351046-Embrace-the-Stall

Having trouble getting enough calories
Until you can get your calories up, "working out" may need to be on the back burner. Moderate exercise and walking should be plenty.

Self Care
I did, but the link wasn't loading from Google.

Just curious
I don't remember.

Having trouble getting enough calories
You may have to eat more frequently. A good way to up your calories is to add some good fats: avocado, Peanut Butter, etc.

Sleeve scheduled for 10/19- would you do it again?
Absolutely. I started at a much higher BMI than you and am still at a higher BMI than you and I would do it again in a heartbeat.

Me again
For me, plain water was the hardest thing to drink early out. Have you tried adding crystal light, Mio drops, or other water enhancers to your water?
-
Sneezing after eating or drinking?
Yes, this is one of the signals I get when I overeat.

I need help and suggestions to get weight off before surgery
It is hard to lose weight pre-op. For me, it was a challenge just to maintain my metabolism was so shot. Have you weaned yourself off of carbonation and caffeine? Drinking a lot of Water is helpful, too. Just giving up diet soda will be very helpful. Are you avoiding starches? Try filling up on protein and non-starchy vegetables. One strategy my NUT suggested was to add a bag of steamed vegetables to my meal. Have you talked to a NUT about your goals and challenges?

How are you suppose to get protein in on all liquid diet ?
Protein is critical for healing. The sooner you can reach your protein target consistently, the better you will feel.

How are you suppose to get protein in on all liquid diet ?
I was allowed Premier Protein on my clear liquid phase. I could also do clear protein supplements like: Isopure, ProtiDiet liquid beverage concentrates, Syntrax nectar, etc.

I think I started vitamins about a week or 10 days after surgery.

Advice needed
Why would YOU feel disrespected? I wasn't aware that someone else's choices related to being healthy have anything to do with you? You have different bodies, different life experience. Just curious.I feel like he's cheating the process of losing the weight, like he just needs to work harder or needs to find more will power to correct his diet. He gets jealous of my achievement and wants the same thing right now. I feel like him doing it by surgical means would diminish how hard I had to work at losing the weight. I don't feel he at all meets the medical criteria that I would recommend this to a patient. Why would YOU feel disrespected? I wasn't aware that med students were licensed to practice medicine on friends and family.
